My name is Yvonne and I found BariatricPal in a packet of information provided to me by my dietician.
I am in my second bariatric program due to the fact that the first program I began in Rockford, Illinois closed. I was able to be accepted by a program at the University of Madison Health - American Center in Madison, Wisconsin. Thankfully, they have a clinic in Rockford, Illinois once a month so I don't have to travel to Madison all of the time. I am still fairly new in the program and still jumping through the hoops to learn the behaviors (lifestyle changes after surgery) needed to take classes (to teach pre op meal, vitamins, exercise, and  post op meals etc.) to qualify for a surgery date.
How do I hope BariatricPal will be benefit me...as an online support alternative. Somewhere I can look for answers or support on possible upcoming issues or questions I may have about bariatric issues or concerns.
Personality....hmmm. Fun, loving, sarcastic sense of humor, can be somewhat serious at times (comes with being an executive assistant), can be a perfectionist at times, like to have fun, family comes first. Miss having good old fashion fun....been ill to long.
