    Hello surgery twin! I'm August 27th as well - 7:30am! The liquid diet isn't so bad since I've done so many 3, 5, 10 day smoothie, military, etc., diets in the past. I felt a little weak today but determined to make it through by thinking of the smaller me ; ) Best wishes on surgery day and the changes to come!!!

    @Bastian I'm 3 months(August 27th) out & only can get in between 350-500 calories a day. I can barely complete a meal & it still takes me 30-40 minutes to eat a 5.3oz yogurt. My dietitian told me that this calorie amount is fine but try to get in as much Protein dense foods as possible & keep my liquid intake close to or at 64 ozs. When I get full - STOP EATING! She said this is the crucial stage for my new pouch & over eating is not good therefore trying to get in 800-900 calories is not the goal she wants for me right now.     Definitely overkill-!!
    I take my B12 1000mcg once a day
    Calcium 500mcg +vitD 1000mcg 2x a day
    Multivitamin 2x a day
    That's all I've been told by my Dr.

    Do not fret that it happens you have to live normally - Most of that event was in your head, As a chef you have to taste food while prepping it, but like said before ................. You did not get the ticket to the obese ball cuz you just tasted while cooking.

    So as some of you may know I’m fairly fresh on the post op side. (Sleeved 12/11). I wanted to feel normal and prepare food for my hubby. So I made pork steak, Mac and cheese, and cabbage. His favorite. My recipes are pretty set in stone with some things, but veggies I always taste to make sure they’re seasoned. I did it. I tasted the cabbages without even THINKING! Then I got upset with myself. 😡 My dear old man doesn’t even know what the hell happened, just that my mood changed. *sigh*

    Wow that sounds like me in the first 2-3 weeks, not 3 months. By 4-5 weeks I could eat a yogurt in a few minutes. I think it's a good thing though? You'll probably be in the top percentage of weight loss.

    Update/Questions: December 20 I will be six months out; I have gone from 52 inch waits to 42; 294 post OP to 220 as of today
    1. Where are you buying clothes, pants? Burlington coat factory have bigger sizes, not much I can wear at work. Goodwill has mostly been a miss. (Just got some slacks on sale at Penny's)
    2. I have a timer in my pocket to remind me to drink Water during the day, and I am using Kirkland brand powdered Fiber to stay regular. Any other suggestions?
    3. I am a therapist so I walk for ten minutes between sessions during the work day (Using ankle weights at home when I walk) Any other ideas during the work day?
    4. Still have a low sex drive, but better than it was at this current weight; suggestions?
    5. I am using an Instant Pot/ Vitamix blender and a smoker/grill so I have been thrilled with a variety of food choices.
    6. I am sticking to a plate with measurements for Portion Control and am still full after 1/4 cup of Protein (salmon, chicken/beef)
    7. Can't wait to hear from many of you!

    Fu*k! I'm eighteen months and take in on average this week about 1000cals per day. I'd be exhausted too with that schedule! Do you really walk 10mi per day? Do you really go to the gym 4 days per week? Do you really do elliptical on top of that? Do you also do yoga and stretching and your doctor thinks you aren't DOING ENOUGH? For reals? That's total insanity!
    You're getting in 500cals or less per day. I gotta call BS. No wonder your tired. The real question is, how are you not dead?

    Hello, I had surgery on August 12th. I'm currently 50 lbs dwn but I need quick lunch ideas. I'm an engineer and my work schedule is crazy working in plants. I've started eating Peanut Butter and bananas but it's making my blood sugar rise. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
