What colour bag or clutch? I think white, with a white clutch bag or gold or silver, with a matching bag. Sounds lovely. I hope you have a lovely time. Xxx

WOW!! Amazing progress. Well done hun. Your inspiring us all. XxxIf bra/panties pics aren’t allowed I will gladly remove. Here is a before and current. Pic 1 is 268 and pic 2 is 198. Notice in the side view that I’ve lost so much fat in my arms and chest that my arms now hang closer to my body so my fingertips hit a lot lower on my legs. I want to lose 60 more pounds, but it’s so far away it seems impossible. Adding my measurements also. I’m now wearing the lowest plus size they make. Almost in normal sizes!!

Amazing! Your both putting in the work and its showing in your results. XxxWe had our 1 month post op weigh in Friday. Before we had this surgery we made a pact that if we were spending all the money to do this we were DOING IT “like a boss”. Following the plan, working the program, working our asses off in the gym, and leaning on each other for support when we need it. When one feels too tired to work out or too lazy to meal prep properly the other pulls them back. We push each other every day and I can’t imagine having gone through this alone without that support.
Surgery Day 7/9/19 - 340 & 290 lbs
Friday 8/9/19 - 271 & 241 lbs
Total loss since surgery- 68 & 49 lbs

Your doing amazing!I’m Day 16 post op. 25lb down. I also started body contour massages and I’m wearing a girdle similar to those used post plastic surgery to avoid sagging skin as much as I can. Still struggling with my daily goal of 60gr of Protein.

I agree I stalled at week 3, in in weeks 6 now and i finally lost again. You'll lose no matter what. You're only getting in like 300 calories. When i moved to purees my calories went to 400-500 calories. I was still losing, but be warned there normally is a week 3 stall so don't think its your purees thats stopping you. Your body is just adjusting. I just got out of a stall it was week 2 maybe 2-7 I stalled. I finally dropped another pound last night.

No problem - we need each other for sure! My dietitian will video call me on August 19th to go over my pre-op diet. Due to my weight, it will only be 1 week. I'm so excited! I have my anesthesia assessment appointment August 13th at the hospital I will be having surgery. So - I'm almost there!! I will be taking 3 weeks off, returning after my follow-up with surgeon 9/18. EXCITED!
That's great, your covered from every angle and ready to go. What does the preop diet consist of? Is it liquids? I didnt have to do a preop diet but in a way I wish I did. I feel like it's good prep to what you will have to do after. X

That's great that your trying things out now. I had my gastric bypass 2nd july. The ricotta bake looks yummy. Wishing you all the best on your journey. XOk my surgery date is August 27th and I'm trying a new pureed recipe I found under this site - ricotta bake! My grand daughter helped and she loved it too! I used 4 oz glass containers but once in this stage, I wouldn't use the full container - only half. I also added 1 scoop of GENEPRO to add more Protein. Anyone tried anything else that was good? Share pictures!

That's amazing xxxDon't feel discouraged I am a slow looser to. I am two weeks out and when I went home from the hospital I was 9lbs more than the day of surgery. Today I am down 11 lbs since surgery, 22 lbs in total when I add the weight I lost during the liver fast and 27lbs since October. I felt discouraged but my co workers are telling me that I am loosing weight although they don't know that I had surgery lol. My cloths are fitting me loose and I had to remove 2 links from my watch.
We will get there.

Welcome Greg, when did you have your surgery? I'm nearly 5 weeks postop. I had my surgery on July 2nd. How are doing?Hello everyone,
After being on the outside looking in for this page for the past few months (gathering info and people's reviews and such), I decided to sign up for the forum and just wanted to introduce myself:
I'm Greg, 36 from NJ, and I am 5 weeks out from having gastric sleeve by Dr. Abkin in NJ. I had been thinking of the idea for quite awhile (as I've had trouble losing weight my whole adult life with a combination of anxiety/depression, and regardless of how much I exercised or how little I ate), and decided to take the plunge in March. I'm down 27 since the date of my consult and 18 since by surgery. It's a process and I'm battling hunger and just feeling down here and there, but it's been worth the risk so far,
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself and thank you all for all the info that you've provided me with over the past few months. It's all been really appreciated. I hope to get you know some of you more through here!
Greg

I had my surgery on July 2nd. How are you doing? XxxI'm getting my sleeve on July 1! Wanting to make sure I'm doing everything I can to set myself up for success; what apps have you loved for tracking food and nutrients? Bonus if I can also track my weight and measurement progress too.

Thanks for your thread. I seen it when I hit my 3 week still after losing 14lbs in the first 2 weeks. I panicked. I'm now 4 and half weeks and just following the plan. How are you doing now? How much have you lost? I hope your doing well. XxxI’m 2 weeks post op and I have only lost about 7 pounds. I am following the diet as required and I am also walking 30 mins per day. I’m getting scared this may not have worked for me. Shouldn’t the weight be falling off? On surgery day my weight was 229, the scale today said 222. What should I do?

Hi, that's amazing for 3 weeks. I'm 4 and a half weeks and I've lost 14lbs. Also they didnt close one of my incisions, it's starting to heal. Just finished the antibiotics. I had to do 3 weeks liquid diet, 2 weeks pureed and will be on the 2 week soft diet soon. I hope the infection clears up soon for you hun. Otherwise how have you been feeling? XxxOmg your doing great. I'm only 3 weeks out of surgery and down 22 lbs.
Are you exercising alot?
I haven't started yet.One of my incision reopened so as soon as the infection is gone I want to start.
Congratulations on your progress

Good luck to all of you having your surgery in August.
I had mine gastric bypass Roux-en-Y on the 2nd july 2019 so I'm 4 and half weeks post op. Its early days but I'm doing well. The clear liquid stage was hard for me, my surgeon likes his patients to do 3 weeks liquid, 2 weeks pureed, 2 weeks soft foods. I think as long as you prepare in advanced you will be fine. I found alot of Protein powders and shakes to be sickly or too sweet after, so I've stocked up on unflavoured Protein Powder. I can't wait to start the soft foods diet.
I'm surprised how quickly I was up and about after surgery. It helped to relieve the gas pain. I was very constipated for the first week, but then I was fine. The only thing which I'm struggling with is dairy, I have to go to the bathroom straight away if I've had any. I was told it was normal for the stomach to be sensitive to dairy after, that some cant tolerate it at all and others are ok after a few months.
Also I was shocked to all the noises my stomach makes, it's like a rumbling growling noise, as if your hungry.
Wishing you all the best on your weight loss journeys!
I look forward to hearing from you and your experiences. xxx

Hi, I'll be going back to work in a couple weeks, my question is, how do you cope with an office job and having to go to the rest room at least 2-3 times an hour?
Also, this is a bit graphic but the sounds of diarrhea is just embarrassing to me when I'm in public, how do you deal with it?
Awww bless you, I've been experiencing the same thing. I'm nearly 5 weeks post op. I'm seeing my surgeon and dietitian today for a post op check, so I will bring it up then.
I'm a wheelchair user aswell so sometimes it's hard to find a accessible bathroom. xxx
