shannamarie got a reaction from Libby63 in First Pre-op Diet Weigh In Blues
it did even out; I lost 10 lbs by my next weigh in! Now it's almost time for my 3rd and I'll be starting my period next week so it's probably going to appear up on the scale again due to bloat. but at least I know that'll go down on its own!

I have read many, many good reviews of dr Scott. Matter of fact I wanted to use dr scott but I would have had to wait longer. You are in very good hands.

yep, at Hillcrest. It's good to sort of meet someone who's gone through the program I am. In town I know my aunt who went with Dr. Scott but have never known anyone else. She's doing great though like 7 years out so that's good to know!

Cool, did you go to GHS? That's who I'm with, using Dr. Scott.

shannamarie reacted to MommaBearOf5 in 7 days on PO Clear Liquid Feel Like Crap- HELP
I had surgery on 7/11. It went very well. I’m feeling great today. Kinda over this liquid diet - lol. Protein has been a little tough to get in- but instead of drinking it back to back I have opted to drink 2oz every hour on the hour and it seems to be working better for me today. And other than that I just keep sipping something - broth, Jello, Gatorade 0, and Water. 😊

For me I would say
1. Shop in the regular women’s section NOT in the plus size limited area AND express/show my style of Fashion
2. My thighs not rubbing together as I walk
3. Be able to actually run after kids at work instead of making an excuse not to
4. Be able to take a bath with extra room around me
5. Wear a two piece bathing suit next summer 😊
6. No more fiat feet pain and be able to wear cute shoes instead of my Birkenstock sandals in summer and tennis shoes the rest of the year (special occasions I normally put insoles in cute booties but still get some feet pain)

shannamarie got a reaction from sidvicious in Finally got my surgery date... when did you cut things out?
Because it's not sustainable. Diet after diet after diet, up and down up and down, sure it works temporarily but it's not sustainable. The surgery gives you a period of time where you're almost forced to comply, and the idea is to hopefully form new habits and a real lifestyle change in that time period. Your body also goes through physiological changes that normal 'diets' don't do.

shannamarie reacted to KarenLR75 in It's Getting Real!
Was going to clear this with my dr but have seen several people recommend taking Gas-Ex to the hospital. May just keep some in my purse from now on. Also have seen a pillow recommended, especially to cushion your abdomen on the way home.
J actually bought some new, easy to get into PJ's...taking them to hospital as I hate hate hate those dang gowns. I always feel self conscious walking in them. If nothing else, I'll wear the PJ's home!

Oh my gosh....YESSSSSSS! I have both 'kinds' too. I'm like 'I'm splurging...I'll walk back and forth more to burn those dang 10 calorie popsicles".....they taste so much better!!

shannamarie got a reaction from KarenLR75 in It's Getting Real!
That's exactly what I have, both kinds you mentioned. I loooove the Outshine ones so much. It's weird how those 10 extra calories over the Popsicle brand makes the Outshine ones so much better!

I have noticed everyone mentions that too! and a phone charger, heating pad, extension cord. Those sound pretty handy based on my experience sitting with others in hospital.
