Many congrats. More mobility! Great!I am 2 1/2 months out and about 50 pounds down. My knees hurt less and I'm looking forward to our camping trips. I'm having trouble staying in clothes, not a problem though. I found 3 trash bags of clothes in the attic that I had "outgrown" so I'm sifting through them. When I go into a restaurant I know I can sit anywhere. I also check the menu online and know exactly what I will be ordering. I also take a small plastic container with me for all the leftovers. My sister suggested a thermal lunch bag with container so you can keep it cool. I'm making plans for trips and travels. None of this would be possible before. I'm 73 and now I have some good years ahead. It had been a year since I was upstairs, now I go up and down without any issue. I know food is not my friend and it was limiting the rest of my life. I eat what I need and I no longer need everything I see. I feel that I control the rest of my life, my body no longer restricts it.

Congrats.I had sleeve surgery last year, 8/18, I’ll be 59 at the end of this month. I hit my stretch goal about 11 months in. I’m only a few months past a year but so far it’s been very easy to maintain.
I did lose slower than a lot of people but it did come off!

Many congrats. There is a group of those over 65 that have had the surgery. I had mine at 72 almost 73. I'm hoping the knees hurt less and that I get off the c-pap machine. No issues so far, I'm 2 months out. I'm just a bit impatient with the stalls. Mobility has improved and energy has also improved.

We all experience the same. You're okay.I am 65, and just had the sleeve on Tuesday, Sept 24. Finding it hard to get all the Water in, and need to go shopping for som of the clear type of Protein Drinks. I never thought I could be sick of chocolate- but I really do not look forward to another one, and I have bottles and powders of chocolate shakes! Lol.
Waking has been hard, cause I just so tired, and the incisions still hurt, but I am walking, just not enough!

Age is just a number. It doesn't represent who you are.Hi. I’m 67 and finally got my surgery date. December 23rd. Whoop! I’m excited and nervous. Some may think I’m too old but as I told my dr yesterday - I’m not dead yet!!

Patience is a virtue.I turned 67 right before my sleeve surgery. Along the pre - op journey of six months I had two heart stents put in and did very well. Two of my daughters had the sleeve surgery and encouraged me to get it done. I have been overweight most of my life and was now having back and knee pain. I was excited to be approved and had my surgery on 8/28/19 . Things went good till my blood pressure bottomed out , so my surgeon went back in to look for a leak. Whatever was going on he fixed it and after five days in hospital , I am home and doing great. I don't regret any of my process. I am at 4 weeks today and now have hit a stall for a week but I know I am still on track and the stall will end.

Someone shared this chart below regarding possible weight loss results after the sleeve. Hopefully, you will find it helpful. I am losing slowly also but I am trying to be patient. Have great luck!

Great looking pics also!I have been a thick girl my entire life. I had the lap band in 2012 and lost 80 pounds but gained 30 back. The band has been nothing but a complication. So I am having it removed and replaced with the sleeve. I am nervous that I will loose too much weight and become skinny. My husband and I want me to be healthy. I’m am in tears over being skinny. I know this seems weird but I am really nervous. I have always been thick and afraid for how I will look after. What I I don’t like what I see what if I hate myself. I even cried today due to this fear. This is me now the second picture at 230 and the first one is at my lowest weight 186. My doctor wants me down to 130 I just can imagine that!!

I had my band removed because it slipped. I never had the success you experienced. I am three months post op for a gastric sleeve. The weight loss is slow which is fine with me. I would not worry about getting skinny. How much you lose will be dependent on you and your body. Pray about this and other things. Great luck!I have been a thick girl my entire life. Great!Hi there, well its been 6 months exactly for me, what a ride its been! I've lost 111 lbs as of today and 38" over all lost too...I've given away a ton of clothes, buying new ones is a minefield now as the sizes are so messed up in stores and online. I hope you guys have all been doing great, I love hearing about everyone's losses (that doesn't sound right but you know what I mean) Heres to another 6 months!
