Letsgetfit got a reaction from NagathaChristie in Pureed Diet! Wooohooo!
1st puree food was Carrot w a bit of parsley, 2nd carrot, parsley, sweet potatoe, 3rd carrot, parsley, sweet potatoe and diluted w Bone Broth, next time I added a bit of beef and so on. I added something new every 2 days to look out for things that might not agree w me. It has been working for me so far.

Sorry it makes you uncomfortable to read about an issue I was concerned about. I figured it sounded better and than using the words squirt or gush odor. I wanted to see if anyone else probably had this issue that embarrassed me when it happened. There was jo warning in the reading materials we were given before surgery.

To be honest, it IS her wedding. I'd try and let it go. Take the high road and write her a mea culpa letter saying you didn't intend to spoil her day and are sorry, and then move on. I wouldn't try to get her to take accountability because she's clearly not in that space. But you CAN take control of it all by forgiving her and rising above it. (And of course, you can be polite without "letting her back in" or making yourself vulnerable to her opinions.)
She might have thought that by inviting your daughters she was honoring you, but either way it seems everyone is on the defensive, which is good for no one. The more you indulge in the drama, the more upsetting it will be to you. But if you make it a non-issue by falling on your proverbial sword you can move on and be the better person in everyone's eyes—including your own.

Happened to me too! I started on green smoothies in the morning and it helped me to go to the bathroom and have more energy. I am losing inches!

Doesn't matter if anything bad happened to anyone else. What matters is if it happens to YOU. Why even take the risk? Hernia surgery is going to be a big deal and keep you out of exercise a lot longer than just waiting a few extra weeks. You gotta look at the big picture of the rest of your life- not just now. It's like someone asking if they can cheat with sugar or alcohol or pizza and that it's OK if others do it without consequence. Just be patient and do something else like walking, stretching, yoga, or non weighted isometrics.

It is correct that Dr. Peter Fisher is retiring December 2020 and is solidly booked already. However he is looking for a candidate to teach his techniques to, and if he finds interest he will then stay in practice to do that and make new bookings. If that happens it will be posted on the website. (I told him we were crying over this.)
On this forum topic a member had great results from Dr. Cardenas in Mexico.

I told NO ONE except my husband, brother, and my kids. My parents, friends and co-workers do not know I had surgery. When asked, I have two responses:
    1) "Over 90% of people who lose weight gain it all back. Please ask me in a year and if I am successful in this process, I will share with you then."
    2) "I am working very hard to lose and maintain permanent weight loss. You are welcome to do what I am doing: NO wheat, no sugar, no alcohol, no soda, no juice, no caffeine (by this time I have already lost them), no processed food, no refined grains, no artificial sweeteners/colors/flavors, low carb, high Protein, lots of veggies, intermittent fasting, and a 1-2 hours of exercise a day."
I would consider a heart-to-heart with an obese person who seems to be at rock bottom and willing to do whatever it takes. BUT... interestingly, no morbidly obese people have asked - only overweight people who need to lose 20 or 30 pounds. Surgery is not for them, but healthy lifestyle is what they need to focus on, so that is what I share. Some have appeared genuinely interested, but a couple of days later I see them eating cupcakes and junk, so it seems there are more curiosity seekers than those who are really ready to make changes.

I'm a bit opposite, I can't get motivated for pre op diet but doing the exercise[emoji16] . Have you tried doing it 1st thing in the morning before the stress of the day comes at you? Between kids, work and everything else I have to do it this way or I have no chance. How's the pre op. Diet working out for you? Any tips on that you can share would be appreciated

After thinking I might make May-June-July-or August for my surgery, it turns out I will be singing a SEPTEMBER song. Do I have a surgery twin, someone who will be going through this wonderous transformation with me?

    About me... HW 300+
    Gastric sleeve - August 2016
CW 152 - haven't done body fat analysis in a while and haven't had plastics so I'm sitting around 28%
    Age 57 - female

    Lifts currently
Squat - 235 on the road to max at 250 in 2 weeks
    Bench - I don't
DL - 235 on the road to max at 250 in 2 weeks
I take an Olympic Lifting/Crossfit type class 3x weekly. I lift to support my passion - fencing. I'm ranked 23 among US women age 50-59 in foil and headed for my first ranking in saber in my age group. I'm ranked 33 among women over 40 in the US in foil and #16 on the list for the Veterans World Cup Team (so 12 people have to get hurt or die before I can go.) I fence about 7-8 hours a week and compete almost every weekend.
I do reformer based Pilates for an hour a week and work with a personal trainer another hour a week. We are working on building my upper body strength which is lacking. I can't quite bench 100 pounds yet and can probably do a single overhead press of about 100, but not sure.
