    Insurance help!!

I think you will be fine as insurance requires you to have a BMI of 40 or above with no comorbitites. At least in NYS. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using BariatricPal mobile app

    5 days post op!

Just a thought but I'm wondering if some of the air they filled your belly with traveled up into the neck/shoulder. I have heard this can happen if you late too flat initially after any laparoscopic surgery. I hope you feel better soon.
  10. I found this on my surgery center's website. I love it. I actually started using last week. I go for my first appointment tomorrow and nutrition seminar tomorrow.
  11. That's a great idea! Keep up the great work!

  14. Hello, I'm a newbie here. This is something I have been thinking about for a while and recently started doing serious research. I went to the seminar and they just scheduled my first two appointments. History/Physical and a three hour nutrition seminar. I'm excited to get started on this new journey. Any helpful hints would be awesome. I've seen so many great stories on here. I'm really glad I found this forum. Gina
  15. Hi Everyone, I love reading everyone's journey! I have just started mine, have my first appointment on the 27th. I've been doing lots of reading and research. One question I have for you is what tricks did you use to slow down your eating? This is going to be one of my challenges for sure. I catch myself eating to fast all the time and I know this will be a huge problem post surgery. Any tips are greatly appreciated! Thank you

    Tips on eating slower

First congratulations on your surgery! Thank you. This is one of my biggest worries. I'm going to work hard on this during these lead up months. (I say this after woofing down my salad for lunch )

    Negative comments

First good luck with your surgery!! I'm glad I have just started my journey (attended the seminar) and looking forward to making some positive changes for ME. This is actually something I was just telling my husband last night...that I'm not telling a lot of people. When they notice the changes I'll just tell them I changed my diet, which is true. I'm very sorry this caused you added stress and anxiety right before surgery. Please don't let other people's negativity derail your journey.
