Just woke up back in our AirBnB. I remember waking in the PACU yelling and crying in pain. They gave me more meds and my ride home was relatively ok. I’ve been sleeping since but just walked and drank some water. Back to bed for now. Haven’t really seen much except that my 🐱 is looking straight ahead rather than down at the floor.

My surgeon provides a set of the rechargeable Circul-8 compressions devices.

A get together sounds super fun! I’m in, Florida or Italy (once we’re allowed overseas travel again 😃)

I’m cringing at these, but know how much I appreciated seeing others “before” photos. Last photo is the day of my VSG at 262lbs, I’d lost 24 in my pre op period. Today I’m 155. 5’4”, 50 years old. 16 months post VSG. Having my tummy tuck, breast lift w/augmentation, and arm lift with Dr. Alex Earle in Miami.

Oh wow, my doctor is awesome. So kind and patient, took a bunch of time and answered all of my questions. I’m going with 375cc moderate profile gummy bear implants. He said I have a ton to take off my abdomen, I’m looking forward to the pic they’ll take of everything they remove. Surgery at 5:30am tomorrow!

Wednesday is my pre op, Thursday is surgery.

That’s a good idea. I’m going to pick up a toilet seat riser and shower chair when we get to Miami, I’ll grab a cane too.

Pre op for me is on Wednesday and surgery on Thursday. We’re going to take the drive down to Key West on Tuesday.

Sounds delightful! It was 30 with black ice on the road for my walk this morning and rained all last week. I am seriously craving some sun! Are you up Monday or Tuesday?

I had COVD back in October and since I’m a nurse in a big public health hospital I’ve already had my first vaccine. Although there have been isolated cases of people getting re-infected it’s pretty unlikely. Once less thing for me to worry too much about! I’m glad your pain has been manageable and that healing is going well. Are you able to get up and moving much?

I am! Packing my bag tonight. I had a pedicure today and getting waxed tomorrow then we fly out doe Miami Sunday morning. How are you feeling? Has your pain been tolerable? Have you had a peek at things yet or are you still all covered up with dressings?

I’m going to second what catwoman said. I was very worried about loose skin pre op. Boy, do I have it! Belly, breasts, thighs and arms. However, I wouldn’t change my decision to proceed with my VSG. I’m so much healthier, have so much more energy, look better in clothes (and can choose clothes that I actually like rather than just what fits). I’m scheduled for plastic surgery next week and the loose skin will be gone. This surgery is by far the best decision I ever made.

I’m looking forward to hearing about your experience! I’m also wondering about sizing. I’m currently a 34 DD, but really just cups full of loose wrinkly skin. I’m hoping to stay around a DD, but full & perky :)

After tons of research I landed with Dr. Alex Earle. I looking forward to enjoying some winter sunshine in Miami for a couple days pre op! Our usual winter rain & gray in Seattle is really getting to me this year.

I’m sorry your aren’t getting a particularly friendly welcome to the forum! I agree, affinity groups can be very a very important part of the process! If you have a question as it relates to your particular place in life, it is likely someone else has that same question. To those posting rude responses, I would encourage you to just move along from any topic you don’t feel relates to you.

This bothered me far less than I worried about pre surgery. My doc says you can drink right up to your first bite, then nothing while eating and for 30 minutes after. I’ve gotten used to it and it doesn’t bother me at all anymore.

I do a variant of this, for breakfast every morning I mix a premier protein shake with cold brew coffee. Yum!
