    What are you guys month 2 goals? I haven’t set them ALL yet but two are to continue to close all three rings every day and to make it on the top 20 board at our gym. There’s a board when you walk in with the prior months most active members. It’s not because I want anyone else to see my name it’s more for validation for myself and every time I walk in and see my name up there I’ll keep pushing to stay there!

    No I’m able to get in two maybe three bites of something before I get the hiccup that tells me to STOP or else ... the else being that terribly uncomfortable fullness if you go for another bite.

    We had our 1 month post op weigh in Friday. Before we had this surgery we made a pact that if we were spending all the money to do this we were DOING IT “like a boss”. Following the plan, working the program, working our asses off in the gym, and leaning on each other for support when we need it. When one feels too tired to work out or too lazy to meal prep properly the other pulls them back. We push each other every day and I can’t imagine having gone through this alone without that support. Surgery Day 7/9/19 - 340 & 290 lbs Friday 8/9/19 - 271 & 241 lbs Total loss since surgery- 68 & 49 lbs

    For y’all who don’t feel the restriction don’t worry it’s COMING. On liquids I never felt it. The veterans here say that you won’t feel it with “slider” foods. But when you get to softs and start bringing in regular foods TRUST me you will feel it. If you eat fast it’s worse I’ve learned my lesson. In one bite you gonfrom I’m fine to omg i need to puke some of this out or if you’re going to fast it’s like a punch in the chest lol I learned real quick that I needed to SLOW DOWN and pay attention
  13. 5’8 4w Post Op 254 Breakfast : 2oz Cajun Turkey Deli Meat 1/2 Sargento Pepperjack Snack Stick Lunch: Leftover “Zastalaya” we made. It’s a very stripped down and healthyfied version of a Louisiana Classic Pastalaya. Zucchini noodles, turkey sausage, diced chicken. Supper: Were grilling some shrimp & scallops with asparagus for the next few days suppers. Snack: still undecided

    You can buy a sleeve of cylinder containers that are freezer safe that they use in delis and stuff on amazon they come in small sizes as well.

    Thank you! I am organized to a fault. But the chaos refers to my children, 2,7 ....... & 34 😂 and our double rotating shift work, multiple extra curricular crazy schedule lol It’s constant chaos.
  18. I often see people confuse oz of volume vs weight or straight up not even understand that there’s a difference. Maybe this person is confused and measuring volume instead of weight? 10oz as in volume? As in a little over a cup? You’re right 10oz weight wise sure does sound like a lot of food at 2 months PO.

    Happy Saturday, Y'all!

    I have this little “baby yeti bag” (it’s actually a Magellan from Academy) as I like to call it that comes with me every time I am going to be gone more than an hour or so along with a full yeti cup of liquids. I put an ice block in it and I’ll bring a ready made protein, water to refill my cup, and a couple grab and go protein options like baby bel, Turkey, turkey pepperoni, boiled egg, boiled shrimp and I keep some crystal light packs and clear protein packs in the front pouch . It stays really cold and it’s a lot easier to avoid temptation if I already have what I need right there.

    We both had the experal too ! Wrong spelling I’m sure 🤷‍♀️. Those first few days on the low calories you do feel so drained and you’re hormones are nuts and you’re going to feel better I promise but I know it’s hard to believe right now. I have a friend that calls that feeling the Keto flu lol. But I can’t remember exactly what day post op it was but FINALLY my body adjusted to the low calories and it feels normal now. Granted you get tired faster during activities than you would on higher intake but your day to day activities feel a lot more normal. I feel ya on the poop probs mine are far apart too. I take stool softeners to keep it from getting constipated type pain but still lots of days in between. we took vitamins from day 1 except for calcium we start that Tuesday at 1 mo PO. Dont apologize for venting this **** is HARD and a huge adjustment and sometimes we all just need a moment to whine! The metal cravings were BRUTAL for me at first. Downright depressing and seeing other people eat made me want to cry. That part gets better too for me it was around 14 days post op. Not saying I don’t have cravings anymore but not like before. Now it’s more like hey I’m down 37 lbs, I’m in ketosis, I’m killing this, is this thing I’m craving truly worth going allll the way backwards? I’ll try to talk myself out of it and have something else. Craving pizza? For lunch I might do laughing cow with a couple pieces of turkey pepperoni. Stuff like that. Or sometimes I just need to whine to a good friend and get it out! We’re all in this together !

    You’ll probably feel the restriction more once you get to softs. That’s the first time I felt mine too and trust me if you take one morsel more than you should it WILL let you know lol. The purées and liquids are able to slide on through.
