About Me

  • Biography
I’m a 20 year old college student who has struggled with my weight all my life. My whole family has always had weight issues and I was just drastically gaining weight. I’ve tried all the diets and supplements but nothing seemed to work for me because I was never full. My Aunt got the lap band a couple years back and that made me think about the sleeve. I ultimately decided to get it done and I have not regretted my decision yet!

    Recently sleeved

That’s really weird, I was on full liquid diet for 2 weeks post op and after that I was able to slowly introduce pureed or mashed food. I am just entering week 4 and can add solids now. When you say your finding it hard to eat what do you mean?

    FAILED SLEEVE

Hi! I am only 4 weeks post op but the number one thing that sticks with me that my surgeon said is that these surgeries are a TOOL not a solution. If you are picking up on bad eating habits, try and slowly turn yourself back to eating healthy. I’m not sure if you are walking or going to the gym but try and get back to those also, it should help you start dropping pounds again! Don’t give up you are not alone!!

    Not telling anyone

I told my close family and friends. Basically anyone who would really notice a drastic weight loss in me. How I see it is that it is nobody’s business. I am very close with my family and wanted their support but if you feel like you don’t want anybody to know that is completely valid. Not everyone is going to understand why we turn to surgery to help us.
