    My husband knows..... that's it.
When i had the band i eventually told everyone. Biggest mistake ever. This time with the sleeve, only my husband. I didn't tell my kids, my family, my friends (none of them), my co workers.... NO ONE.
So much better. When people started to notice the WL i just told them the truth.... doing crossfit and Portion Control.
I moved to another state which makes it easier i think. No one except my kids have seen me since SX Aug, 28, 2019
I can promise yall one thing.... you tell one person besides your spouse.... it will get out.... especially if you tell a friend and that friend is a woman.... we love to gossip... and eventually she will get jealous and blabbb...
Let me give you the scenario.... Hey sue.. chris sure has lost a lot of weight.... Well, don't say that i said anything... but she has WLS... BAMMMM

    Excellent!
Way not to panic with the weight "stability"! Keeping your head on straight and things in perspective will take you far, and will make this journey so much more enjoyable (or at the very least, tolerable) ❤️
Do you track your food intake?
P.S. Semi-pro tip: keep up with the exercise, if you can learn to love it and make it part of your forever lifestyle, your body will thank you for it. It may not help as much in weight loss as food intake does, but it does wonders for your well-being and your "well-looking", LOL.
Congrats and keep on going on!

I hear you. I think the best advice - knowing everyones body is very different of course - I have seen /used to break a stall is Intermittent Fasting, Upping my Water and Protein, lowering carbs below 30 (sometimes even Keto so more healthy fats) and if say you have been really low on calories I just upped mine and the scale moved again. Which really messes with your head. Or at least it did mine. I have PCOS, I am insulin resistant, I have endometriosis AND I am hypothyroid all four which just make me a slower loser. Its hard to wrap your head around the fact that sometimes you need more CARBS or Calories to get the scale to move... I just keep ploughing forward and then if I stall- which is ALOT- i try to mix it up. And I am here for encouragement and i hope others are too vs casting blame or suspicions on others. Life is too short for the BS and negativity. Some people get dealt a crappier hand and its okay to get bummed out by that because you are human and have good days and bad days and thats OK. I tend to be very glass half full but every once in a blue moon I get frustrated and its okay to feel that way because thats how you move through the emotion to a better place. At the end of the day i am still going to wake up and try. I ran into my old trainer the other day at the gym (she left to go to law school) and she was blown away with how much I have lost and how I look and she texted me after and said I am so proud of you for never giving up because i know all of your health issues and how hard you work but you never ever give up and you should be proud of yourself. I say this because its a good reminder that waking up every day and trying sometimes is the biggest win of all. And there is no crime in encouraging people... That said i know for a fact I have stalled more than a week and it had nothing to do with calories. My surgeon and my Drs all attribute that to the above mentioned medical issues I have. But I can only speak to my body as you can only speak to yours. And to other we should speak with the kindness we wish to get in return. Life is too short for anything else.

Welcome, and congratulations on the first 30 pounds lost on your journey!!!
Do you have a surgery date?
I just joined yesterday and I am also pre-op,
My journey began on July 29th, 2019. I weighted 395 pounds. Through changes in diet, exercising daily, and taking Ozempic—all three of which I call the current contents of my weight loss tool box—I have lost 105 pounds so far.
I am having bypass surgery on February 24th, 2020.
I look forward to following you and your progress as we go on our respective health journeys!

@chayarg : actually, I'm pretty impressed by YOU and your dedicated efforts to get back on track after so long after your surgery ❤️ . It ain't easy, but here you are posting your menus and working your way down.
I was 235 lbs two weeks before surgery.

I’m doing quite well. I was 222 on October 1 and I was 167.5 today. My goal was to hit 155 that I now feel confident that I will hit. So 54.5 lbs down. I am 5’6” and now I have a BMI of 27. I started with a BMI of 35.

I may lower the goal when I get there but I’m not sure how that will look at 55 years old.

I feel so much better than I did in July at my first appointment. I was 228 then so technically I am down 61 since the summer.

    How are YOU doing?

If I could heart this 1000 times I would. Pre-op I was told many times that this was a tool and not a permanent solution so that part was clear, BUT i was never informed about the possible change in mentality towards food.
I never thought in my wildest dreams that I would WANT to chose a salad or something lighter over the heavier dishes I was use to. I never thought I would WANT to log every single bite that goes into my mouth and actually LOVE tracking macros. I never thought I would ENJOY taking dishes I would make pre-op and turn them into something healthier.
Before surgery I thought one of two things would happen. The first was that i wasn't going to be able to tolerate anything and I was going to be stripped away from everything I loved (i read too many horror stories). The second was that I was going to be able to tolerate everything and just eat what I loved in moderation. Neither one of these is the case.
Although moderation is great, I see food much differently now. I dont want moderation with what I use to eat because as you say Fluffy, once we stop losing, those frequent moderation meals will catch up to us.
For me, moderation is eating clean everyday all day and maybe having some chocolate almonds for a snack, or fulling indulging on special occasions or certain days when you feel like it. I do believe in planning ahead though by eating light on those days you know you're going to indulge.
As corny as this sounds, I've truly learned that this is not a temporary diet, its a lifestyle change. Also, I don't feel like I'm on such a tight food restriction because I love my healthy meals way too much!
Thank you for being such a great example and for showing newbies like myself that eating good can be enjoyable and that its all in the mind!

Over the holidays, I saw relatives who haven't seen me since the summer. I got "Oh look, you are still skinny." or "Good for you for not gaining weight again", and them offering me some cake.
These are the gossipy aunts and cousins who I generally put invisible armour on whenever I'm around them. You know, the types who shoot out poison arrows disguised as innocent remarks. They've been doing this to everyone about everything for as long as I can remember.
They don't even know about my surgery, but I know they are just waiting for me to gain the weight back.
Insecure people feel better about themselves when they compare themselves to others, do their mental math and determine they measure out on top. And if their math tells them they are NOT on top, they will do/say/think what they can to make it so (or at the very least, justify it). I figure they need do this to get through the day, so whatevs. Let them do what they need to do to get by. I know I'm awesome.

I'm so glad I found this thread! I'm actually 9 months out but started stalling at 6 months out. I've only lost 6lbs since October! I've just started intermittent fasting this week and am hoping it helps to get things started again. I also saw something about a "pouch reset". What does that consist of? Willing to try anything at this point! I still have 30lbs to go before I reach my 100lb weight loss and only have 3 months to do it 😕
