  1. I know right after surgery your supposed to eat 2oz. I’m 6 weeks out and still have to force myself to eat because I’ve only genuinely been hungry four times. I don’t wanna under eat and my body not be getting enough but I don’t want to over eat accidentally since I don’t feel hungry or full. Should I still only be eating 2oz? Somewhere in my binder I swore it said 4oz by now but I can’t find it and figured I could ask here since I can’t find it on google either.

  2. Is it possible to drink Water “to quickly”. At the end of the day when I realize I didn’t drink enough I take big gulps (no air) every 5-10 minutes just to get the full 64oz in that day. And I didn’t know if it was going to do any harm. I mean obviously it’s easier to drink it throughout the day. But I’m a caregiver and i guess I’m to focused on helping them to make sure I drink the whole 64oz.

  3. So I went to my primary dr and they said I can stop my blood pressure meds(last dose was Sunday morning) because it’s normal again 120/84 today, they also said I can “officially”stop all of my diabetes medicine(last dose was two days before surgery March 27th)But my heart rate has been really high still like when I’m sitting around or laying down it’s usually 70-88bpm but when I get up it goes as high as 160. So I fell asleep on my couch last night and woke up this morning sat up, heart rate was still fine. I stood up it went to 125, so I stood still and took some breaths to try and bring it down but it went to 136. So I went to the bathroom (which is maybe ten feet away from my couch) and it went to 153. As soon as I sat down it went to 149 and took about 15 minutes to go down to 110. My primary dr doesn’t know what’s going on. My surgeon doesn’t know what’s going on either. So I am going to see a cardiologist Monday. But didn’t know if anyone else has had this problem or had idea as to why this is happening.

  4. It was 105/55 before even moving all I did was reach over and grab my monitor, then I got up out of bed and sat down and did it again it was 121/83. My heart rate is the only issue now I guess. I am trying to go without blood pressure medicine today to see if I can stop it. I went to Walmart without taking it and the highest my heart rate went was 130bpm but ranged from 100-120 mainly. And now I’m driving home and it’s 81 bpm so I’m now hoping I no longer have to take the bp medicine!

  5. I’ll try that thank you 😊 . My blood pressure meds were 240mg before. Since I’ve been on the liquid form I just take one dose 40mg in the morning because my heart rate is 120-160 just from getting out of bed. Hoping blood pressure won’t be an issue soon since my diabetes are pretty much under control if not gone.

  6. I have been drinking at least 70 oz everyday. My skins super dry my fingers are “shriveled” like when your in the bath or shower to long. My urine is usually dark except yesterday for some reason. And now when I stand I get dizzy and light headed. Like the feeling when you stand up to fast, except I’m not standing up quickly I do it slowly because of the dizziness but it still happens. I’ve tried contacting my dr and there closed. I drink two premier drinks each day totaling my Protein intake to 60g. I usually drink a mixture of Pedialyte and sugar free Powerade. I even eat at least three Pedialyte Popsicles each day. I’ve checked my blood pressure and it’s 100/68 which is normal(at least the Drs day it’s fine) because I have high blood pressure and my medicine brings it down to that. I’ve checked my sugar levels (before surgery it was 150-250) and it was 92 which is great. I don’t understand what’s going on or why I’m still dehydrated. I even started taking my Vitamins Friday. The first month I couldn’t because the crushed pills didn’t sit well with my tummy and would result in me getting sick. On Tuesday I was given muscle relaxers to help with the pain on my sides and was told to take them around the clock. Maybe that’s why I’m dizzy? Before surgery I was trying to get this done for three years and I thought it was going to be a piece of cake. But now it’s like I don’t know my own body or what’s wrong with me anymore. If it’s not one thing it’s another.

  7. So I’ve been taking one Multivitamin every morning and calcium citrate twice throughout the day. Somewhere in the binder they gave it it says you’re supposed to take Multivitamins three times a day.. but the multivitamins I have meet the requirements of the list they gave me for the “total amount of mg,mcg, or IUs needed of each type of vitamin) do I still take it three times a day even though it meets the requirements with only one pill or do I just keep taking one every morning(I cut all my pills in half instead of taking them whole). I asked them during my last visit (yesterday) but she just kinda brushed it off and said do what they told you to do. Which doesn’t really help me.. considering it has the total amount of Vitamins you need everyday and then a separate page saying you need to take three multivitamins a day. I feel super stupid for asking this question because I should know. But my binder is telling me to do two separate things.

  8. So tomorrow I’ll be four weeks post op, or we’ll one month. And the pains on my left side have gotten sorta worse so I contacted my dr who decided I should take muscle relaxers. Well they called as they were closing and just said to start taking them tonight. I forgot to ask if I should crush them or just take them whole. The pharmacist wasn’t help either nor was the on call nurse who “can’t answer questions unless it’s an emergancy”. I have an apt tomorrow and I will be asking them them about the rest of my meds like my blood pressure, anxiety, and Vitamins. Do you think I can take it whole? My body just doesn’t handle crushed pills well, it results in puking it all up within five minutes haven’t even been able to take my vitamins(so I was told to just take it easy and try to drink stuff that has it in it already)or my anxiety meds.

  9. So I’ve been craving a tamale(not a full one) and there soft and if I were to eat it I’d had chili and cheese on it. Would this be okay to eat at this point? I think so my mama is iffy and my fiancé said he feels like it would be okay. I tried calling my dr but there collided and won’t be open till Tuesday. Does anyone know if this would be okay to eat today? Or is it to early..

  10. 3 weeks and 2 days and I’ve lost around 28lbs since the surgery. My highest weight was 330lbs my presurgery weighty was 284lbs and I currently weigh 256lbs.

    Edit
*had the full gastric bypass just had my first “stall” but finally loosing weight again!

  11. I just haven’t gotten sick in YEARS. So I honestly don’t even remember if that’s a normal feeling for someone who hasn’t had the surgery let alone being just a couple days short of three weeks post op. Just kinda worried me since the weird burning and pain sensation. It still burns almost like acid reflux but lower in my stomach instead of being in my chest.
