I’ll try the latex free ones. I haven’t considered any implants or anything I hear a lot of bad things about them. I haven’t even heard of a contraceptive film I’ll definitely try it thank you! She wouldn’t explain why I couldn’t take birth control which really pissed me off. Looking into a new primary dr 🙄

I just had my surgery March 27th if this year so it really freaked me out last month or the month before when we thought I was pregnant. So I contacted my dr about birth control because apparently I’m allergic to condoms. We never used them since my weight made it impossible to get pregnant. So we tried them and I get rashes and sore after. Anyway since I couldn’t use those I asked my dr about getting on birth control. And she tells me “you can’t be put on birth control since you had gastric bypass” okay so I feel like that’s wrong so have any of you ladies taken birth control after surgery? As of right now we’re doing the “pull out” method and I know that’s not the best contraceptive but they refused to put me on any type of birth control and we can’t use condoms smdh.

Before surgery my diabetes pills (metformin) always made my tummy upset and I’d have to run to the restroom several times a day. I would take phone calls for a business and sometimes I’d get the urge in the middle of a call and have to disconnect and bolt to the restroom. At first I would refuse to go to the bathroom on the same floor that I worked on and would go to the first or second floor but it got to the point where I knew I wouldn’t make it so I’d just go on the floor I worked on. I would flush the toilet as I was going to make myself feel less embarrassed about it lol. After surgery I don’t have that issue I’ll get dumping syndrome without the “dumping” but I also take the BariatricPal prenatal Vitamins with probiotics(a month after buying I found out there was a normal one with Probiotics but decided to stick with prenatals for the folic acid and b12). My mother(had rny also) still has to bolt to the restroom frequently. Hopefully it gets better or goes away soon!

It doesn’t look like it. It’s only maybe five years old but in great condition. Maybe my hubby dropped it. I’ll probably just go get a new one to see.

I didn’t even think about them pumping me with fluids. I guess in my head it was just an endoscopy so I didn’t think they did. But I feel stupid now 😂 thank you I really appreciate it!! Makes me feel better.

Last week I weighed in at 227lbs. Yesterday at the hospital they said I was 224.9lbs. I went home after my endoscopy yesterday and weighed myself it said 233lbs. I weight myself today and my scale says 236.8lbs. I’m just short of four months post gastric bypass has anyone else had this issue? I don’t really eat food to where it’ll make me gain weight. Throughout today I ate one whole pickle one egg and four oz of chicken. I don’t understand why I’m gaining weight.

I slowly started doing them as I started the program. By time I got my surgery date I was already eating sugar free stuff and not eating fast foods. I figured the quicker I start it the easier the transition would be.

I went to the hospital today to get my endoscopy since I’m having trouble eating most solid meats. They weighed me once and it was 102 kg(point something idk exact number) but they told me it was 224.9lbs. Well the past few days when I weigh myself at home it shows that I’ve gained weight. For example a week ago I was 227 and yesterday it said I was 232. Well I got home after my procedure and weighed myself and it said 233lbs. Which is almost a ten lbs difference. My question is which is more accurate? Or which do you personally think is more accurate. Usually I go by mine because it says I’m a couple lbs less than the office but this time it’s the complete opposite which confuses me. I want to say the lower weight but that’s just because it makes me feel better😂

So I found a Vitamin that only needs to be taken once a day but it says for gastric sleeve (screen shot below first is the description of this one and then the vitamin info for the tablet and then the capsule after that will be the normal Vitamins I currently take) is this something I could take and get what I need? I guess i don’t wanna make a mistake since it says for gastric sleeve. The current one I take just upsets my tummy because of the flavor and this one has a couple different flavors instead of just watermelon and citrus.

I told my Drs about that during my last visit a couple weeks ago and said they think my esophagus needs to be stretched out and just isn’t as wide as it was making it difficult to swallow foods without it coming back up that i go to get checked on the 15th of this month and to get it stretched if needed
