IWuzaFatDuck got a reaction from BlueIGT in Weighing in at the doctor's office
Am I the only one who gets discouraged when I get weighed at the office and you're five pounds heavier because of the clothes?
I always weigh myself each morning when I get out of the shower.
Also an added benefit of catcalls from my wife when I do so.

IWuzaFatDuck got a reaction from Frustr8 in Better tasting [to me] water flavoring
So I'm going to try and describe to you the flavor I'm looking for.
I generally hate the taste of plain Water, unless I'm dehydrated. My liquid of choice was always regular Coke from a fountain over crushed ice. [trigger? Sorry]
Never in my life drank coffee. I would get my caffeine via SF Rockstar.
Stopped drinking milk 25 years ago due to intolerance and what I term milk-mouth. That filmy feeling after I would drink dairy products.
I would describe the two categories of taste as: sharp (carbonated, citric, film-cutting) And what I mean by the last one is that it removes that milky-film in your mouth like Simple Green on grease.
Dull or thick (dairy-based, has a flavor that is fruit-based but muted)
I've been adding Crystal Light and other SF packets but they are all generally on the dull side.
I find that fruit infused water is close to just plain water. Maybe my taste buds have been burnt off by years of acidic Coke and energy drinks.
    Any suggestions for additives?

I do Protein Shakes using almond milk, chocolate or vanilla powder and SF Torani Syrup which is ok. It's like a milkshake that isn't as frosty but I get bored with it.
I've been clearing out the shelves of my local Grocery Outlet / Bargain Market for the chocolate shakes made by Foundation Fitness. Thirty grams of Protein, and has a taste that I would describe as milk chocolate with an after taste of dark chocolate. $1.79 for four cans.
If I could get them to taste like Jamba juice I would be in Heaven.
  3. Haha
IWuzaFatDuck got a reaction from Frustr8 in SF Popsicles
I'm addicted to SF popsicles. I eat way too many.
I'm still looking for SF poverty pops. Probably don't exist.

IWuzaFatDuck got a reaction from Beella in Fueling for a half marathon post bariatric surgery
I was a runner in HS and college/post college and have tried to run again for some years. I'm busy looking at new shoes and have been wondering about fueling.
Back when I was competitive 1980-86 I never really thought about this stuff
  6. Congrats!
IWuzaFatDuck got a reaction from FluffyChix in Overnight weight loss
So I was sleeved 4/25/2019 and have had a few stalls. Most recently I was stuck at 203-204. I always weigh myself on the same scales and nothing on. The nurse is still getting used to that. (I kid, I kid).
So I've was stuck there for more than a week. Weighing every morning. When I lose weight it's usually overnight and I would see up to a pound drop from bedtime to waking up.
I assumed that I would slowly creep up on sub 200 but instead went from 203 - 197 in one night. I weighed myself six times because I couldn't believe it. That was yesterday. This morning I'm 196 so there is my usual pound.

Anyone else ever have a huge drop overnight?
I haven't lost that much in so little time since I had malaria

I'm just over a week out of surgery.
I work in an office building of about 1000 people administering health benefits.
It is literally the battle of food cultures everywhere in this building.
It's Cinco de mayo and also Asian Heritage day.
Everywhere you turn there's free tacos (good ones, I'm in central CA) ceviche, elotes, rice and Beans. There's a massive BBQ cooking asada.
Then there is every Asian food known to man.
Two weeks ago I could have done some serious damage to these endless buffets.
But I've got my beef broth to keep me company.

I dry myself off after the shower to make sure that I don't have any Water drops. I shave my head so no hair weight. It's mad I tell you.
