  1. You may just want to use an enema. They work very well if used correctly.

    Vitamins

The mixed berry flavor is the only flavor that tastes good. But they are delicious! I take 2 in the morning and 2 at night after my revision to bypass. No other vitamins needed. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001FY1KAE?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title

FOOT DROP I cant balance HELP PLEASE

It could be related if a nerve was damaged during surgery. I have back issues and I can tell you that nerves are weird. You don’t always feel the pain exactly where the issue is. I went through a hard time being diagnosed years ago. The key is finding the right dr from my experience. I know how horrible it is to deal with and I hope that you find help soon.
  4. Adding more dense protein in there will help to keep you satiated. You seem to have more liquid type meals than you do dense protein. I find that dense protein sticks with me longer.

    Frustr8?

Has anyone seen or heard from this member? I noticed that she has not been here in awhile and am concerned. Pretty sure that she has been a daily poster for awhile now. Hoping that she has just been busy.

    Compression garment after RNY?

Yes I wore one that they put on me in the hospital post op. It actually helped immensely. It was a binder but pretty much the same thing.

    Converting Sleeve to GB RNY

I had the same revision done just over 3 months ago. No regrets at all. My bowel prep didn’t go very well either. I told the dr in advance that miralax would not completely clean me out. He said it was fine since he only needed intestines and not colon cleaned out. surgery went fine. Try not to worry too much. You got this!

Why do so many sleevers get GERD?

I never had gerd or even heartburn before being sleeved. I ended up with gerd and a hiatal hernia. The sleeve creates high pressure on remainder stomach after surgery. This is why it is so easy to end up with gerd post sleeve.

    What a F@#ckin miserable weekend!

Awe. I am so sorry for your loss. I know the pain of losing a beloved pet

    Just saying hello

Everyone else has said it all. Do this now while you are still young. Be prepared to work hard at not only losing but also maintains your weight loss. you need to care more about what you think. You have zero control over what others think. you got this!
  11. That seems unusual. Especially for ds surgery. Have you talked to your dr about it? What do they say?
  12. I am barely 3 months out from revision. Sleeve to rny. 38 pounds down last time I weighed. I still have 20-30 to go in order to reach goal but I am feeling great! My revision was due to hernia and gerd but I was hopeful that I would also lose more weight.

    Gas?

Not sure if this would be the same for you but, I had consistent odd pains like that early on. I mentioned them to the np. She told me that they called where I was “the ooey gooey” phase lol! She said that is where things are starting to settle and stick together again. you may want to give your dr a call just to be sure. Maybe it is regular gas and not the gas from surgery too.
  14. I revised from sleeve to rny 3 months ago. I had hernia repair with mesh. So far I am down 42 pounds and very happy about it! Only less than 20 to goal and I have no doubt at all that I will get there.

Vitamin & iron deficiencies after DS

Many vitamins can not be absorbed through the skin. I would not personally use patches. You may want to start using chewables. I chew two Bariatric fusions twice per day. there is something that they call a “banana bag” to infuse vitamins and minerals. My sister passed away a few years back. Before she passed they had her on the banana bags in the hospital. So I know it exists.

    Turmeric?

My joint pain is much less severe since losing the weight. But my knees are to the point that a lot of damage was already done. My sister had knee surgery and also uses turmeric. She was to the point that she could barely walk. The turmeric has been a miracle for her as well as myself.

    Post op update

    Just wow!

    Turmeric?

Turmeric is exactly what I use. Have been for the past 6 years. Got surgeons approval to continue. I don’t think that I would have even had the surgery if turmeric were not an option. I take the capsules with bioperine. It would be extremely hard to eat enough if the spice per day to do any good. Plus the body can’t absorb it without enough bioperine (black pepper) .

    6 days post op

This happened to me after revision as well. The premier shakes that I loved before revision no longer taste good and do not stay down for me. The powdered syntrax and the slimfast high protein premade are the only ones that work for me now.

    6 days post op

I didn’t have a problem tolerating the protein shakes after my sleeve. I revised to bypass a few months back and now many make me sick as well. I like And tolerate the syntrax nectar chocolate truffle. They have many flavors to choose from and the bp store here offers individual packs to try. meanwhile go to the grocery store and get some fairlife milk. It is high in protein and tastes great. Extremely important for you to get your protein in at this point in time. good luck and hang in there.

    Pre surgery liquid carb drinks?

Yes I drank the presurgery carb drink 2 hours before my surgery. I think it was made by ensure and it tasted very good. Supposed to help with healing and recovery.

    Safe meds for arthritis?

I too have horrible arthritis in my knees. The only think that can be used is a topical ointment. I have to think on the name. i think it is called voltaren. Do yourself a favor and try some turmeric! It must contain at least 10 mg of bioperine and 95% curcuminoids. You will be amazed at how well a simple spice works for inflammation. I literally went from not being able to walk without severe pain to no pain at all. My sister had surgery for torn miniscus and it works well for her too.

    Gallbladder Problems

Wow. I am really surprised that they did t do surgery right away. I had my gallbladder out more than 20 years ago. However I was in much of the same shape that you were in as far as being extremely sick before it was removed. I felt SO much better after it was out. The surgery itself was very easy for Me. I was in pretty good shape back then too. I just can’t believe that they are waiting to remove yours since you are so sick and not able to eat or drink. If it gets any worse before Friday go back to the ER I bet that they will go ahead and do the surgery. good luck and hang in there!

Thank you. I will definitely be asking my dr about armour.

    Daily Menus for Maintenance

Hmmm did the levothyroxine cause fatigue and brain fog? I have a bad case of both. My numbers are staying in range but it is still ridiculously hard for me to lose weight. I have to keep calories much lower than most to lose.
