TracyS got a reaction from Frustr8 in Thyroid
As with most overweight people I suffered from hypo thyroid. However I am now at 205 lbs instead of 343 lbs and my hypo thyroid is now hyper. I got off the synthroid for a week. I wasn't sleeping at all and quite jittery. So then cut the tablets in half. Here I am tonight again and feel like I am on speed because everything is racing. Anyone else experience this? Driving me crazy.

TracyS got a reaction from Frustr8 in Thyroid
My original doctor told me I was going from hypo to hyper. At the time I felt no effects. Now it feels like I am on speed. Jittery and heart racing. Doctor went on maternity leave and unfortunately new doc only checked TSH and not T3 and T4. My sister is a pharmacist. She said she sees this all the time and by what I described she said definitely a thyroid issue. A TSH test is only as good as what is happening at that particular day and time. When I got off thyroid no problem. Then got back on half a pill a day and now having problems. So I am now oversensitive to it. Benadryl has no effect on me. When I take 4 benadryl melatonin and 2 Tramadol and still can't sleep then we have a problem. I don't do intermittent fasting. My body goes into overtime at night. Anyway, going to just get off of the thyroid for a month. Instead of going through Endocrinologist I will have my PCP reorder the tests but this time with T3 and T4.

TracyS got a reaction from Aprilgal in April 2019 Surgeries!
I had mine April 3rd and was 276. Now 237. The average for the first 3 months is 30 to 40 lbs and the same for the 3rd to 6 month. So that means in 6 months you will lose between 60 to 80 lbs on average. I hate the taste of Water so I use Mio in everything. I think you are on target.

TracyS got a reaction from Jonsie27 in Angry 1 year post op
I am just beginning my journey but down a total of 100 lbs from last year and 52 lbs of that has been since April after receiving the surgey. I am frustrated as i have always been discriminated against. I have been doing my job for 29 years. I have a great reputation and am very knowledgeable. However I always get passed up for promotions and advancement. Tired of it. So am hoping that what happened to you happens to me. Although at 57 YOA may have to deal with age discrimination next. People don't know how to treat you if you are different in anyway. Anyway at 240 so still have a long way to go but getting there.

TracyS reacted to tyaple13 in Constipation
I also have trouble with Constipation now. Never had an issue before surgery but it is what it is. I've been taking Aloe pills and that seems to be helping. Sometimes i'll have a BM every 2-3 days.

TracyS got a reaction from GastricGal in The thirst is real!!
The Celebrate bariatric Vitamins have all the necessities l. 500 units of B12, 3000 units of Vitamin D3 and etc. You also need 1500 mg a day of Calcium carbonate or citrate a day. Take 1 tablet after each meal and take the vitamins 2x a day. You can get that all from celebrate. You probably want the bariatric vitamins with Iron. As I am post menopausal I didn't need the iron.

Omg you need bariatric Vitamins immediately. Order from Celebrate. Your management should have given you a book with Vitamin requirements, the different eating stages and etc.
