I’m enjoying how the ladies pull fall looks together. I am stealing some of your ideas.
Went through my capsule wardrobe. I’ve had this sweater/duster for three years. Is it time for it to go? or is it a keeper?

it's such an individual thing which so many things factor into - age, gender, starting BMI, metabolic rate, whether or not you lost weight prior to surgery, etc. One of things you'll constantly hear is that it is pointless to compare yourself to other people, since the only thing you have control over is whether or not you stick to your surgeon's plan.
that said, and this is just from hanging out on this and other boards for the last five years, I would say most of us lose in the 15-25 lb range the first month. Of course you will find people who lose more or less than that, but the majority of us are somewhere in that range.

Hi everyone! I haven't been on in a while and wanted to give an update on my sleeve journey. I am just over 2 years post op now and have lost a total of 169 pounds! Literally lost half of me! I feel amazing! If you're considering WLS I highly recommend Dr. Jorge Maytorena and his team. They were absolutely wonderful, very caring team for sure. And they did everything from my preop testing to my recovery and leak test right in the same hospital. I will add a before and current pic below. This has not been an easy journey, but 100% worth it! Forever grateful for my tool! j

If I have to plan a date, I can just make a date with my friends, people that I actually know and I already like. Instead of leading a middle aged man by the nose. I expect to be courted or it isn't worth my time.
Think dating one month post-op you are creating a lot of your own problems. If you waited until 6 months, you could eat enough what you eat or don't eat on a date would be a non-issue. Men are used to women not eating a lot on dates, especially first dates.

You want them to choose the date but don't want to tell them about your limitations when it comes to food?
The more I read about dating, the more I realize I have no shot.

I didn't date at 1 month post-op, I would actually suggest people wait until they are over a year post-op but I understand hormones make that hard to do.
If you wait longer you can eat more and there is nothing to explain about your eating habits.
The idea in dating is to find a match. You shouldn't have to lead someone by the nose to get them to like what you like.
OP do you have in your dating profile that you are active and you like to do active things? I had that in my profile and it helped weed out a lot of guys. Most of the guys I met are high energy and active like me. If they aren't they can't really fake it, although some try.

I don't get it.. you want someone to cater to your surgery and your diet restrictions, but don't want to explain anything.
This is why I never cared for the dating scene. Too many people expecting mind readers.
Communication (or lack thereof) is by far the biggest reason relationships/friendships of any kind fail. It's so much easier to just be up front and honest. Why people wish to play around and complicate things/make things more difficult is beyond me, but not my problem.

Well you know (and let me say this isn't an attack on you ok) you kinda come across as a bit of a negative kind of person. People in general don't gravitate towards that type of person. They want someone who is going to encourage them not bring em down! Try looking on the bright side! It sounds like you've got some great things going for you with your weightloss you've accomplished on your own and you are taking steps for some self care. The only reason people suggest these support groups is sometimes it helps being with people who have had the same struggle because you can relate and maybe meet someone. But yeah if your just going looking to get laid or something your going to be dissapointed. Like I said previously stop looking so hard for love and let it come to you.

Next time (because you'll probably run into the same problem if you are not upfront ) order soup...

Hey guys decided I would post some pics and my story. I’m Mike and I’m 37 from Montreal. Waited a full 5 years to get this surgery. Best decision I ever made.

Surgery was Nov. 22, 2018 and I’ve since lost over 180 lbs! I work out 6 times a week; cardio, swimming and various exercises.

let me know what you think!

And it does work, I used to be a real Sweet-Toother, made great cakes , Cookies and pies, had to taste-test each to make sure they were fit for human consumption, after all. Now I have NO DESIRE, in truth the very thought repulses ME. Who would have thought that? Not me if you had asked me a year ago. And now I am 9 months past and down 120 pounds, getting close to leaving Plus Sizes forever and I started out a BIG GIRL! But Big MAMA has left the building and a REBORN CUTIE-PIE has arrived, and I have found "MYSELF" under my Fat Shell and now the World🌏can see it too!
