How many steps is everyone getting? I’m post up day 3 and hitting about 3000 but I’m worried that’s not enough? I keep up every hours and walk around.
I had surgery 4/15. For the first few days, after laps at the hospital, I only got about 1800-2000 steps a day. It was a week out before I hit 3000, and now I’m over 5000 steps. I’m actually dedicating 2x’s a day to walk my block outside- which is 1/2 mile. My doctor expects 2 mile walks by 6 weeks out. Sounds like your doing fabulous.

    @Tallymom @girlaccountant @LabGoddess @brownymix13 @OhMyGracious!

I hear all of you on the energy levels going up and down.

@girlaccountant I don’t know how you are surviving doing two jobs, that’s so incredibly hard and then dealing with energy levels and getting Water and Protein down.

I had my 2week post op appointment yesterday. I’m allowed to start purées but I have no idea how I will be able to eat 80g of Protein via purées and shakes I feel like I’m eating all day. I got quite overwhelmed yesterday and a little this morning that I can quite easily just skip eating (purely because of how annoying the process of it is taking, NOT because I’m trying to avoid eating from a dieting sense - I know that’s not an option and also doesn’t work)

When I feel low on energy I also get a sweaty thing happen, like a shot of adrenaline that seems to freak me out and then I need to lay down.

I’ve also been sick now for a few days and that is taking a toll also - not sleeping well, coughing and blocked sinus etc. (I was also sick the week before surgery same thing)

Trying my best to remind myself that it’s all small steps, you don’t have to be perfect, do what you can.

Aside from all that I’m happy with how it’s going it’s and been so far. I do feel nervous that I won’t lose weight this week, which really shouldn’t be my worry. Focus more on health an nutrition, however clearly I want to know this works.

So clearly I’m happy, tired, a little apprehensive and some positivity.

I feel like such a fool for being so many things at once.

I’m grateful to read others experience to know we’re going through similar circumstances.

Much love and happiness to everyone.
Consider Protein Water. Premier Protein Water has 20g protein, but counts as water too. I have to add Crystal Light to cut the aftertaste, but it’s been a lifesaver for me.

I had my sleeve on 4/8 and I’m right there with you. Never thought I’d kill to eat an egg.
I said this yesterday! I need savory items. Everything I drink taste sweet- Protein Shakes, Jello, Popsicles, Protein Water. I’m so tired of chicken broth and veggie broth. I’ve branched our a little to cream soups... but I want eggs!

I just looked in the pantry and none of my Crystal Light (powder sleeves) or Mio drops has caffeine. I am going to try the stevia drops posted by Healthy-life2 if I can find them. Trying to drink more plain Water too. My sleeve seems to resist the plain Water to a certain extent and I am not sure why...

I think it’s just the flavors I prefer... wild strawberry, grape and orange. I’ve previously had reflux and the lemonades scare me. I’m not a big tea drinker, so I’m loving these other options and recommendations.

I had my sleeve performed on April 17th as well and I am experiencing similar symptoms. For some reason the pain is worse with chicken broth. It tends to come and go. Have either of you started planning for the next stage?

I am so ready! All of the liquids and Proteins are sweet or chicken broth. I so need savory in my life. I am hoping to purée some squash, carrots, deviled eggs- minus a few ingredients- next week.

  6. I am one week out today. I’ve lost 5 pounds and 8.5 inches. Consider measuring yourself because scales are not the only indication of success. Find non-scale victories to help remind you that you are successful. Almost a pound a day is amazing. Think about your highest weight, pre-op diet weight, surgery day weight to now. Proud of you!

New here. My surgery will be around April 17th. I am so nervous. Surgery in general scares me, but this is a new level of scared. I'm so ready but my mind is starting to play tricks on me.

Congrats! I’m fairly new here too. I start pre-op diet next week. At the beach for baseball this week. Trying to not gain any weight! Packed my Protein Shakes.
