My doctor has a fabulous reputation. I’m finalizing pre-op criteria. Not sure about pricing, my insurance is paying, but folks travel from all over to see him. He’s completed over 4000 with zero fatalities. I would recommend him based on pre-op treatment alone. Dr. Malipur, Madison Surgical Associates, Huntsville, AL -
My doctor has us purchase a kit for all items needed after surgery. One item is for gas.

Weight gain during 6 month pre-op period

My insurance actually requires seven consecutive monthly visits. My doctor required me to loose 10-12 pounds prior to surgery. This was in additional to his mandatory seminar and nutrition class. My tentative date is scheduled for April 15th, but the doctor gave me a specific diet to follow for at least two weeks prior to surgery. We were told flat out if the required weight loss didn't happen, there would be no surgery. -

Congrats! I am new to this forum, but my tentative sleeve date is 04/15/2019. I am a little nervous, still working on the pre-op weight. I have eight more pounds to go.
