5 days a week of traing is hardly excessive. Nor is 7 days, if you are doing it right.

When you go to the gym, you need to group your muscles together that you are doing to use. Like leg day, back/biceps, chest, shoulders and triceps are three different days, and you can have 2 days between each day or combine two of them together for three days. They need to be grouped because so many muscles rely on other muscles. A shoulder press is pushing the same muscles that the back can use. You need a rest day for the entire muscle group, of at least than one day. I go to the gym 6 days a week, two day rest between each group. On the rest days, your muscle tissue that was broken down, is being rebuilt. Don't keep breaking it down of you will suffer an injury.

That aside, your trainer was a dumbass.. obese people should not start with body weight exercises in my opinion. There are two many machines that can be used with light weights, or even light dumbbells. There are also cable machines that can be use in place of machines and dumbells. Cable machines are my favorite because you can use them to better approximate real life movements for specifically c activities like sports.

I'm out a year and recently started having a few while I'm out singing at night. I've never been a drinker before and I've had a hard time controlling it post op. I blacked out two weeks ago which I've never done before. I was with my guy who I trust and counted myself lucky. I don't remember leaving the bar, walking to the liquor store and doing shots there, or getting a lyft home. It was a total wake up call for me and I'm not going to drink anymore. I don't want to think what could've happened if I hadn't been with my boyfriend. I'd say it's not really worth it but that's just my own personal experience with it.

I'm not trying to increase my calorie intakein trying to get the 64g of Protein in a day that the Dr told me to. I'm doing 30-45 mins of cardio a day plus about 5 days of weight training just to keep lean muscle and I only asked ffora personal trainer for one time for 1 hour to Shiite me how to use some of the equipment and have good stance so I wouldn't hurt my bank which isn't at all what he did! He had me doing a bunch of stuff I told him wasn't what I was looking for. No I'll never go see him again. Just trying to ease into the weight lifting stuff and I think he was just kind of an ass. I go to the gym a couple times a day because I like to start the day off with a little cardio and mid day or evening I like to go back and lift or get in the pool and aqua job. No one is making me. I'm looking for things to do that I enjoy and don't revolve around food. I have a 3 yo and I can bring her with and drop her at the daycare or she can come swimming our whatever. It's just a place that I feel really good about myself at and can beingmy kid.

Well besides the fact that I had gotten overweight which I've started my journey, I think I'm a relatively attractive girl and I don't turn men down based on looks. I date all body types, races, and faces. There are good women who appreciate good men. This it's not your fate. It may be your defeated perception which makes me sad.

I don't think it's shallow. I personally love to hear that people are happy with themselves. I think it's probably a teapot healthy thing to feel good and confident about the way you l look.

Just be yourself. My perfect date is someone I could make it through a date gone awry with. If the actual date itself goes to **** but we're both laughing it off and the conversation is good, he asks me questions so I feel like he's interested in me and he's sharing some of himself so that I don't feel really vulnerable I like that. It feels real. You're really just making a new friend and if you click and the chemistry is there than it will organically grow. Some people are socially more awkward maybe. You day you're struggling to even get responses? Maybe you have a friend of the opposite sex that can look over your profile or go on a fake date with you to curb some of that but honestly I think the right person will just like you for who you are. I went on a fake date with a guy friend and he told me I was to laid back and willing to pay and open my own doors and that I needed to make a man do those things because that's how I'd know a man respected me... I personally don't want to think that much and I do like when guys do those things because it makes me feel special and kind of girly even though I'm fairly independent bit I also like to reciprocate because we're all human and want to feel valued and cared for...so like I said at the very beginning just be yourself. Be genuine and be kind.

I *sorta* remember the literature that was provided to me pre-op said that months 2-6 post op, I was to aim for 800-1200 calories with at least 60g Protein. In reality, at my 4 month mark, MFP tells me I was averaging 500 cals and 50g protein (**this is actually surprising to me as I actually thought I was averaging closer to 65 until I checked just now!**). My nutritionist was aware and was not overly concerned at the time.
I'm almost 9 months now and MFP tells me I average about 1500 cals & 75g protein a day. But, I am also no longer trying to lose weight, and I exercise way more now. The increase in calories is more due to higher calorie foods choices (i.e, fat) rather than volume as my stomach still can't take in too much at time yet.
Oh, and I'm pretty short (5'2") so that factors in to my stats as well.
Try using this calculator if you are into ultra-low-carb eating (just make sure to put the minimum grams of protein you want to achieve). But if you are carb-friendly, it may not be for you:

My dietitian said they won't give any macro advice until 12 months out, and just be concerned with meeting Protein goals. BUT, I did weasel out information from her because I told her my trainer wanted that information. This was at about 5 months out. She said since I was working out seriously hardcore, I should be getting 1000 calories a day, 90g of protein, and 100g of carbs. That is usually the standard at 12 months, she said, but because of my workouts I should get that now. BUT, in reality, at 8.5 months out I eat 600-700 calories, 100g of protein, and well under 50g of carbs per day and I am doing just fine. NO WAY could I shove in 1000 calories a day.

Thank you all! I actually just talked to the doctor and he did say he considers all the shakes as liquid, so as long as I am incorporating the daily requirements with those (which I'm not, but I'll keep trying), no need to add a lot more "extra fluid"...
I know, right?! 9 shakes daily, which can't exceed 4 ounces each and spaced out every 90 minutes. Driving me nuts.
