I don't think it's shallow. I personally love to hear that people are happy with themselves. I think it's probably a teapot healthy thing to feel good and confident about the way you l look.

Well thank you! Every day is better than the last!I actually feel better and feel like I'm recovering better from bypass then the sleeve. Maybe it's because I lost half my stomach already [emoji23]. How are you? How's your recovery going?

Do you mind if I ask which surgery you had and when you had your surgery?I have had bypass.
I still get hungry.
I am, astonishingly, closing in on 200 pounds lost...that’s more than what I weigh.
You can feel hunger, eat, and still lose excess weight...promise.

They told me I had 6 ports during my surgery. There are 6 slices on my abdomen but I also have noticed that my belly button is cut. I dreamt that my belly button was crusty but now it really is. I'm not sure if it's from the surgery or not. Anyone wise have issues week ugh their belly button after our know if that's a typical place for them to cut?

I slept on my side last night with the help of the support band. It felt AMAZING and my baby was so excited to have me in bed with her [emoji173]

I couldn't swallow the Tylenol. I cut it up but it'd still get stuck. Last night a layed on my side with the help of the support band!Took me about a week to lay on my side but I took Tylenol before bed and it absolutely helped. Two weeks and I could sleep on my stomach again without meds.

I'm also super sensitive to smells now!!!Hi Everyone,
It’s been a few days since I’ve checked in. Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers.
I hope everyone is doing ok! Last time I posted, they were admitting me to the hospital due to a pesky kidney stone. So, I ended up there for two days, and they finally decided to surgically remove the stone. I went home that evening and feel like a new woman.
Now, I’ve transitioned to puree food, and I made some chicken salad. BEST. MEAL. EVER. lol
Now, I need to work on getting in allmy liquids and Proteins in for the day.
I’ve also noticed I am way more sensitive to smells....all of my Vitamins stink lol

I had surgery on March 14th and still have not been able to lay in my bed. I've been sleeping in the recliner and it's KILLING my back! Anyone else find it painful to lay in bed on their side because of the weight of your own stomach? How long before you were able to do it?

I'm also off for 4 weeks and live in mn! Where abouts do you live??? I'm in new hope.I am up walking all the time. Not outside but just trying to keep busy at home. I have never really been a TV watcher so I am getting bored. My surgeon made me take off 4 weeks so I am looking for things to keep me busy. I live in Minnesota if the weather was warmer I would spend most of my time outside.

You're supposed to have those kind of stools and I was at 276 pre-surgery and up 10lbs to 286 post-surgery but am now down to 275 4 days out.Anyone else have (sorry for tmi) very loose stool almost like diarrhea? Surgery was Monday 3/11 and I’ve had it since yesterday. Will call Dr tomorrow. Also has anyone weighed themselves? I figured since I’ve had nothing but liquids and they’re going through me I’d have lost something. Well folks I am 6 pounds UP. I’m not discouraged yet as I am still swollen. But it was a bit of a kick in the shorts.

I worked on incorporating all the n new behaviors so I could hit the ground running. Sit at the table no less than 20 no more than 30 and no distracted eating. Chew Chew Chew Chew CHEW! Used tiny silverware and took little bites. Cardio 30 mins a day. shake for lunch every day. Alsowatched tons of YouTube videos. Asked my bf to write a list of things he was excited to do with me once I got smaller. Got in the habit off doing meal prep. Learned what triggers my anxiety and found solutions for it!

I don't think I was always hungry but I just like to eat. It tastes good and when I'm bored it's an easy way to feel satisfied by something. I'm on my pre op liquid diet right now. I started it on the first. My surgery is on the 14th. For the 2 weeks before surgery I let myself eat what I wanted but I didn't let myself eat as much as I wanted. I tried at each meal to have one of my favorites but I ate in moderation and threw the rest away. I'm doing really well on the liquid diet with the exception of yesterday when I was off work and all I wanted to do was eat. I don't know if it's because I was bored or because my blood sugar was really low but I made my daughter nachos and I took a chip and I was licking it and it was really hard to stop myself from eating it but I did. I find myself being sad that there are certain foods my body might never tolerate again and the flip side is that I hope that happens. I worry that I'll get the wrong kind of pouch I've hears others talk about where they can tolerate everything and eat a bunch. So yes I do have that worry but I also know that this is not a fix. It's a tool. Also every person is different. I hope you don't feel this way post op.So, does anyone else have a fear of feeling hungry? I realized recently that I tend to eat the moment I feel anything remotely like hunger! (I'm pre surgery. rny on March 27th!) Right now I'm lying in bed hungry and wanting to eat, but I know in a week I will be on the liver shrinking diet and I should just suck it up! I'm afraid I will mess up post-surgery since it seems I am always hungry!! Help.
