Greenstar got a reaction from Frustr8 in Anyone else hiccup when they are full?
i have learned to stop before the hiccups. i also put the fork down between bites and not in a hurry. you will get full and feel it, doesnt take much anymore

Greenstar got a reaction from Carrot64 in Dumb Insecurity
you will start feeling restrictions as soon as you eat something that doesnt agree or you over eat. i just accepted the fact i will probably never have chicken again. just keep getting your Protein and Water, you will be fine

Greenstar got a reaction from Emma2.0 in Do you ever feel you are losing too fast?
im dropping about one and half pounds a day, but i do crazy physical work and walk for miles at a time while eating lean foods with no fat or sugar. you will stall and your body is pretty much resting during the stalls, then you lose like crazy again.

Greenstar got a reaction from KimB7811 in All for nothing?
i got denied 7 times, i had to prove it was medically necessary, it wasnt because it was below the bmi its because they dont want to pay. insurance sucks, dont worry though the doctor knows what to say

Greenstar got a reaction from NotActive1234 in How’d you Choose? Sleeve v.s. Bypass?
i had servere gerd, and the sleeve could make it worse. so i had no choice i had to get the bypass. honestly, if you do what you are supposed to the bypass isnt that bad. ive never had a problem with dumping and all my medical conditions are gone. sleep apnea, gerd, high blood pressure, pre diabetic, everything is gone day 1.

i had server gerd to the point i had barrett's esophagus, i had to take 4 pills daily and i still ended up throwing up bile every morning. i was told the sleeve would make it worse. once i was told that i said nope give me the bypass. im two weeks out and no more gerd. also my sleeep apnea is gone completely as well.

Greenstar got a reaction from freidaboat in Water/ hydration before protein?
i can tell you Protein Water gives me bad gas, also might turn your stool different colors. protein20 mixed berry is pretty good. the grape one freaked me out with green stool.

Greenstar got a reaction from FluffyChix in Water/ hydration before protein?
yeah Water, keep sipping. i was told the food source for the body is all that fat we have. i recommend having the water bottles that equal the amount the dr told you and make that your goal.

That sounds like a good plan, because I can't imagine measuring every drink I take. I'm a little stressed about the whole Water issue, because I drink a LOT of water now, and in huge gulps. It's going to be quite an adjustment.

Greenstar reacted to AlteredReality in 7 day post op
I didn't have any strips. My incisions were sealed with a liquid called dermabond. It was almost like liquid bandages and as the wounds healed, it pushed the dermabond out on it's own. -

Mine were covered with criss-crossed hypoallergic strips like stereo-strips. Like one of the other posters, I was told it was okay to get them wet in the shower, just wash around them and pat them dry, the one in my navel, dropped off first, it was pretty caked with blood as was the "money" slit, Bypassers on the right , sleevers on the left, it took the longest to heal, was a little tender from it maybe a month, Dr Needleman. removed the rest at 2 weeks, the reason you're not permitted a tub bath or swimming is those contain chemicals and/ or germs, whereas. a shower is clean Water just trickling over. I turned the pressure down on my shower because high pressure needles of water made them sting and hurt. At 5 months mine have faded into the surrounding stretch mark scenery, sure a surgeon or doctor could find them because they know where they should be, average layperson couldn', I just looked at my tubby tummy, only one still distictive is mine up between my slightly saggy "girls" it's visible only because my skin up there isn't stretch- marked but smooth. And FYI that is where the liver retractor went in, since I had been so successful with my liver- shrinking diet, he did not have to use the industrial- sized retractors and didn't bruise anything, it is tiny tiny, always has been, maybe 1/2 the size of the rest, and they weren't big to start with. My surgeon did a pretty pretty job, gosh I can only wish all my surgeons sutured as skillfully. He could have been a plastic surgeon. My exterior turned out as pretty as a 70+ body can be, it's. my innards where my Big Bad Problem is. I am very very allergic to Dermabond as I am most adhesive bandaging. Liked that about Dr N , he used what would be best for me, not what he was taught or comfortable using. Case in point, I had to have some breast biopsies, multiple so they were going to give me General anesthesia. I told the surgeon, reminded the nurses even stuck a post-a-note on one boob, what do I wake up with , Elastoplast, Whole no-one bright red blisters, part broken and weeping, itch like Hades, and when they finally removed the Elastoplast, I lost the entire top layer of skin, it had just melted away, my subcutaneous layer showing, had to go to wound management, where they take care of the trophic ulcers and burns, and when it healed at least my body made new skin so I didn't have to be grafted, but it still is a little shiny. Late Husband offered to kiss it and make it better, told him to keep those lips on his can of Pepsi and far away from me!😧😪😍
