  1. Weighed myself yesterday morning, and I was 227 lbs. The weight I was that got me to start this journey to begin with was 427 lbs., almost two years ago. Sure, today I fluctuated up 4 lbs. due to Water retention from what I ate yesterday (and not having a bowel movement until after I'd eaten breakfast), but I count that as a win. For reference, I was 360 lbs on the day of my surgery, 13 months ago.

  2. I've thrown up a few times. Foamies and dry heaving until the chunk of food or whatever was stuck comes up. I had the fun experience about a month and a half out of surgery where I had food get stuck and it took two hours of vomiting every five minutes before it could actually come up.

  3. So, almost a year out from my surgery and down about 130 lbs from surgery day (197 lbs overall), I find myself eating what I consider relatively normal now. I mean yes, there's still things that I can't eat at all, and I still eat a lot less overall than I did before. I've still found that there are things that I can handle now that in theory, I shouldn't be able to.

An example? Fun size M&Ms. I can handle a pack of these with some Protein and not have any issues. One pack of fun size M&Ms is less than 10 grams of sugar. I can also handle grapes, sushi, and a single slice of pizza. Anything more is pushing it.

My weight fluctuates day to day, but it's still on a downward trend and I'm getting good walking in with the occasional swim as exercise.

  4. Is it normal to stall for three or more weeks at around the eight month mark? I was 360.8 the day of surgery and I am down to between 244 and 248 now. (I've been fluctuating between these weights for the past three weeks). I'm going to be re-introducing swimming in addition to my walking, but the stall still is starting to worry me.
