What are you taking for Menstrual cycle aches and cramps? Just got my first menstrual cycle after years not having it due to being over weight and I do not miss this feeling.

Does milk mess with anyone after VSG? I use to be able to have milk but then I had to switch to Fairlife which is lactose free. I was fine after surgery with regular milk up until December I started to not feel well resulting in Sweating, feeling nauseous wanting to throw up and having to use the bathroom. Just wondering if this is normal.... reason for bringing it up is I got a coffee and forgot to ask with coconut milk instead of regular and now I’m having all those symptoms right before I have to be at work in 20mins.

I was told it can stretch and be uncomfortable. For me when I took a sip of my moms La Croix (flavored sparking water) actually hurts once hits the stomach. I miss the carbonation (NOT SODA, never been much a soda drinker).

Thanks for the suggestion! I purchased some on Monday and right away after applying it helped a lot and haven’t had any problems 😊On 01/04/2020 at 07:45, JRT Mom said:
Gold Bond. Gold Bond. Gold Bond.
Use this liberally and you won't have trouble. I would get a weeping rash under my pannus, but the Gold Bond powder stopped it cold. Cheap and easy fix.
However, like Uomograsso said, if you can get a doctor to document these rashes, sometimes you can get insurance to cover a panniculectomy.

Yeah I didn’t do bad until Christmas when I traveled for the holidayOn 01/07/2020 at 06:53, MarvelGirl25 said:
The holidays plus your birthday can definitely do that! During the holidays I ended up bringing my own side dishes to avoid the heavy stuff.
My bday is next week! I hope I stay on track 😕

I hear ya Big Sean...My appetite has come back full force. I ate a 10 piece Buffalo wild wing platter in like 20 mins and didn't even bat an eye. It is scary because I only felt bad for about 10 mins. I am working on it though.
I hear ya Dee Dee on the nuts. I eat several handfuls of almonds a day with no problems.
Wow thats incredible! I can eat a good amount of almost anything except Protein. Once I eat a piece of chicken I need to tap out. But I will say my hunger has come back too...

How did you reset?On 01/04/2020 at 21:56, Deedee12 said:
You are not alone mr.sean!!! I've had to make sure ALL nuts have been taken out of my pantry because though I'm snacking on "healthy foods", I'm snacking A LOT! So I've had to reset myself since the holidays are over.
The surgery is definitely not an easy way out as retraining the BRAIN is not for the fainthearted
Since getting back on track, I've dropped 2lbs in 2 days which didn't happen the entire last month though I've lost serious inches that when my sis who has not seen me in a while saw me, she begged me not to lose any longer!. I think it's the dramatic difference....we'll see how I feel as I continue to lose.
But keep your head and chin up as we plug along. Remember we are just 4 and half months post OP. We still have time to recalibrate.
Good luck my fellow Augustas

ME TOO! I’ve only lost a lb due to not eating that healthy since my birthday but I’m starting back to tracking and watching what I eat again on MondayOn 01/04/2020 at 19:10, mr.sean said:
Checking in, about 20 weeks post-op!
Weight loss has slowed to about 0.5 - 1 lb per week, and some of my binge-eating habits have returned, but in smaller quantities. So I don't think it's technically binge-eating. I'm talking eating shredded cheese out of the bad, eating Peanut Butter out of the jar, eating like 4 string cheese instead of 1. I'm sure that's making the calories add up and contributing to the slowing weight loss. It's not hard to overeat soft, high-fat foods like that. I still can't binge-eat anything high in carbs, thankfully.
This happening because I'm feeling very hungry again, especially at night. It's very discouraging because I was told the surgery would dramatically reduce the ghrelin hormone production in my stomach. It seems to have come back with a vengeance. I eat when I'm hungry, and then I fill up quickly, but then I start feeling hungry again when my stomach empties. This is not what I thought was supposed to happen.
I'm feeling very jealous of all the people who lost 75%+ of their excess weight in the first 6 months, because I'll be lucky to hit 50%.

Maybe reading everyone’s responses will help me! I tend to make a half container of ground turkey but it still ends up needing to be tossed away because it got bad. Do you freeze your prepped meals?
-
You don’t need to bring all that. I took a bag and out of the 6 things (if I remember it was a portable charger, face wipes. Adult Coloring book and makers, chapstick, hair brush and an extra pair of underwear) only used one; charger for my prone. Slept most of the time I was at the hospital.

I have always had a hanging stomach before surgery but recently have been struggling with moisture at the crease. What do you put to help the moisture to not cause itching. All I want to do is scratch but I’ve broke skin a week ago and I don’t want to do that again.

I’m not asking If I can eat. Im asking your thoughts on them. Thank you very much.On 12/16/2019 at 12:16, Healthy_life2 said:
My thoughts,
Do they fit in your weight loss calories/macros for the day? If rice cakes are on your food plan, no need to ask if they are ok to eat.

My birthday dinner out with family I had shrimp, steak and chicken combo fajitas without the tortilla and I gave away my Beans and rice to my sister. Brought home my leftovers home. My plate made 4 meals total for me (still have two meals left hehe). About 4 ounces to 5 is what I can eat almost 4 months post op

I did too and they fixed it. Post in the website assistant forum!

When you workout do you guys have something to eat or have a shake before a high intensity workout?
I been going to a high intensity workout weight lifting/ cardio class twice already and find my self needing to step out due being light headed and almost once falling over. When I get into a workout I notice I don’t listen to my body until something like this happens
