Nothing tooooooo exciting here on the clothes front - Just a new lined rain coat (the lighter one from Florida was not holding up to the two weeks of rain, chill and overcast trip in central Pennsylvania + Philadelphia over Easter vacation. AND, Ms.sss, were you slender in your original wedding gown? Let's see a pic? I think a vow renewal for the new you would be WONDERFUL! This was chubby (size 14) me back in 1994. Oh well. ;[

Nice to see some new participants and food posts regardless of stage! So glad you've joined in... Baked some turkey thighs Sunday - Enjoying the dark (my favorite) meat on salads this week. Trying to get away from the sodium in luncheon meats. Even low sodium white turkey breast brands seem too salty for me. Definitely more convenient, but trying to put in the effort! Haha. Marinated turkey in juice from naval orange, olive oil, sage, rosemary and thyme with a handful of cranberries. This salad makes two meals.

An idea for a future stage (it took me three years before having pizza again) - I really like to garnish up California Pizza Kitchen brand cauliflower thin crust from grocers. It's really delish when you add some fresh tomatoes, green peppers, onions and parma cheese. We bake it extra brown for easy digestion. A moderate and satisfying portion size, too. We no longer order pizza out... just too heavy with too many hidden ingredients in crust and toppings. BUT love an occasional pizza treat once every 6 weeks! That pie looks soooo good!

Happy Spring! Spring has sprung here... Thought I'd try out my new white jeans purchased but never worn after two years of a Covid dormant closet! Anyone else feeling like white lifts your spirits and lightens the soul?

Love all these mashed potato accented meals! Yum! Do you all make them from scratch? Always find them a lot of work to make home made. Traditionally whipped kind, that is... Lots of salad + soups this week. Find salads so refreshing and soups satisfying calories with savory tender meats...

Lunch today. Made chicken salad with leftover roasted chicken past weekend. Hubby finished the rest for a snack. And, Bobby in flight! Like me - he loves a good pork chop! Haha.

No, I cannot take credit, but ms.sss certainly could!!! I told the bakery to just surprise me. When I picked them up - they called them little Sophie smiling faces! Haha. Breakfast this morning with a cupcake. The rest were frozen or given as Valentine's gifts... Fun!

Really value and appreciate what each of you have said here. Thank you for your perspectives! I balance and evaluate the nutrition, how clothing fits/the mirror and how I feel. I, too, could not maintain the lowest weight at 113. Unrealistic. I was too gaunt. Then, it was 118. Then, 122. I feel my best at 125 pounds. Very realistic. However, when it began to creep up to 130 this winter (adjusting to a new climate) - that was unacceptable! Sooooo a combination of re-grouping my strategy, getting back to a regular routine after many major life changes along with intermittent fasting - this week, I'm at 128. I do look forward to working on the remaining 3 pounds by the end of the month. I know this is not the fashion post - but I believe it is good to remind ourselves, like Silly Kitty said - the mirror speaks volumes. Another very important tool to our health and well being. We all know some fluctuations are normal. But aren't you glad our conversation with ourselves has changed? And, we do care now. Not obsess, just vigilant. I went for years before my sleeve tool - once allowing my weight to pile on and upwards to 298! I am so proud of all of us that we can dialogue and have this honest conversation. This week at 128. I never dreamed I'd ever wear stretch pants, wear tall slender boots and a belted jacket... It just spurs me on to reach my 125 goal in a healthful and satisfying manner. Red cabbage and date salad tonight.

Finally made our delayed New Years Day traditional dinner of roasted pork, sauerkraut with apples and smashed little red potatoes. Make it only once a year - always look forward to it. Has made some nice leftovers this week, too.

I seem to have the opposite problem lately. When I am home - I feel like I'm in a more controlled environment. All the drinks are prepared and made a head of time, vitamins on the counter, healthy choices in the refrigerator. It's when I go out that I can get in trouble... Very little I eat out satisfies me anymore (just too much oil, butter, salt, sugar, fried, powder sugar dusted even on chicken - over embellished dishes even when you ask them to leave off the salt!) So easily detected, now that I have been pretty clean for three years now - So, I end up not eating anything and crave a dessert or treat on the menu to compensate. Florida dining definitely had better choices out than here in South Carolina. We have really scaled back on eating out here. ;[

OMG - you ladies are killing me! I just made a dull beef veggie soup that hardly compares to any of these golden pocket beauties!!! I'm dying for a bite. I dropped 3 pounds (probably salt and sugar weight) since fasting 2 meals a day since last post. I plan to continue through the weekend.

Dinner tonight. Ate two slices of the grilled rib eye steak and all the veggies. I am fasting two meals a day, breakfast and lunch - eating only dinner to help drop a few pounds. Clothes are not tight - so it maybe just carrying a lot of fluids. Chemicals off. A few pounds are from some treats I did splurge upon. Of course, drinking 80 oz. of liquids - water, isopure, hot decaf tea, propel... Want to feel light on my feet and agile for upcoming business trip end of month. Anyone want to join or track with me - if you have gained a few? Just message me. ;]

I think we need to send a care package your way!!! I'd die without my oatmeal. Seriously though, I am not making light of the seriousness of your situation. And, I am serious - I can send over protein bars, toilet paper, etc. What brands do you prefer? Does amazon prime serve your area? This is where we get large amounts of paper goods, just in case. Here we have most major grocery chains - some shelves appear bare - bought canned beans + other chili fixings that seemed to be in stock. Took a chuck roast and asked butcher if he'd grind it for chili. He did. Are you able to get nuts, eggs, etc? When turkey was sparse - I'd add boiled eggs to my salads. I've allowed some junk and processed food into the diet - and am not happy with myself. Plan to enlist intermittent fasting and premier shakes back into plan to get things back under control. So many major changes, and a sense of not feeling settled along with covid always looming... add to the mix. I do not wish to reach for a sweet treat to medicate. Toying with five extra pounds right now. I hear you!

Bobby's first snow experience! He's a Florida boy... Turkey chili tonight. Come on over - plenty to share! 6 - 8 inches fell today. I'm afraid we are sending the storm north.
