    Bad breath after surgery?

If you didn't have this problem before surgery it's probably ketosis. If you did have it before surgery and still have your tonsils it might be tonsil stones.

    April 2019 Surgeries!

I'm doing great! I'm down 64.7 lbs. since my surgery and I feel so much better already. I'm off my blood pressure pills and EVERYTHING is easier now. I don't feel self conscious anymore either. I didn't realize how much that affected my life. Looks like you're doing great too! Congratulations! 😁
  7. I wanted to start an inspirational/funny page for favorite quotes or memes. Here's a few I love. Feel free to post your favorites so we can have something to motivate and inspire us along our weight loss journey 😊

    Soon to sleeve

First off congratulations on your upcoming surgery! You made it! Second, before your surgery, your surgeon will probably come in to talk to you. Take this time to ask him if he/she can take extra care of getting all the gas they can out of you before they close you up. It really makes a difference and it will be on their mind going into surgery so they might not get complacent on that. As far as hospital list, like other posters have said, chapstick for sure, hand sanitizer is VERY important, slippers, chargers, your own pillow, a hat you can throw on to do your walks if you want since you'll probably have bedhead most of the time and comfy clothes to go home in.

    Everything is Nauseating

What helped me was heating up a mug of half cranberry juice and half water with a pack of Splenda and sipping on it. For some reason it soothed my stomach but everyone is different. I hope you can find something you can tolerate to keep you hydrated.
  14. I take my multi vitamin with my breakfast then set the alarm on my phone for three two hour increments after that. I don't worry about the calcium in my foods because my body will just eliminate the excess.

    Bypass or Sleeve

Great advice! My surgeon asked me what I wanted and was comfortable with even though he and his partner were pioneers in laparoscopic RNY. I never felt pressured to get one surgery over the other.

    Menopause

That's exactly how mine were! I had serious doubts about the Estroven even working for me they were so bad, but it did 😊

    Bypass or Sleeve

I'm surprised they are pushing you to get the sleeve with your history of gerd. It would make me wonder if they're more confident in preforming the sleeve rather than RNY. You might want to get a second opinion.

    Menopause

Before VSG. I started going through menopause at 42. I'll be 50 in November.

    Menopause

I went through menopause already and the night sweats and hot flashes were the only symptom I had BUT they were horrible and embarrassing. The one thing that I found that finally made them go away was Estroven. My sister just started getting them too and it has also helped her. It takes about two months to fully kick in. I'm still waiting to lose enough weight to be cold all the time though. I can't wait til that happens!
  23. Thank you soooo much! I take the GNC calcium citrate too and I have to eat 1/2 at a time because I hate them. I'm going to order these right now 😁

    Straw

I'm almost 4 months out and drank out of a straw last week with no problem.
  25. That's great! Congratulations 🙌
