    I'm in no position to give advice because I am currently losing and I'm also a newly sleeve patient. I can tell you that I've spent a good amount of time on this forum and I've learned a few things from the vets: Food logging is vital! I've noticed that the ones who maintain years out are still logging their food. They're able to see what they are doing wrong if there's a gain and catch it quick. Basically they have more control of their weight. I've already accepted the fact that Ill most likely be tracking for many, many, many, years lol. Keeping up with your appointments is just as important. I've read that a lot of maintainers see their surgeon once or twice a year just to check in. What @FluffyChix and @catwoman7 said! I see a lot of maintainers weigh their food still and eat as if they are still losing (protein, veggies, fruit/good carbs in that order) Lots of maintainers weigh themselves on the same day every week. I've also read that some even weigh themselves everyday so that they can control any spikes in weight gain. Maintainers are doing some kind of physical activity every week or more. Once again I am in NO POSITION to give you advice so please don't take it that way. These are just my observations from reading this forum. I'm hoping to observe and learn more so that I can be just as successful as them at keeping the weight off. Obesity is a disease and it should be treated as such, constant thought and action for the rest of our lives.

    Same! I know how u feel. I have another 150 to go. Swimming is really going to help you. You burn so many calories. Thank you! Good luck to you too!

    Lunch is leftovers from yesterdays dinner. Oven roasted pork loin and beet salad. Finished all my food except one bite of the beet salad. Im not feeling too hungry today.

    Leftovers from dinner. Ate 3 pieces of meat with the salsa criolla (onion mixture), no rice of course, and the rest was for my bf. Sorry if disposable plates make you cringe. We hate doing dishes lol.

    What a difference! Congratulations, you look great! Im 4 months post op and lost 80 lb. Im hoping to be as successful as you and reach that 100 lb mark by month 5.

    Day 1: Didn't open the blinds/curtains because I wasnt ready to wake up. i didnt eventually peak out the window. Day 2: I started watching Mandalorian late so Ive been catching up on that. New episodes every Friday! Day 3: I have been avoiding dessert but Ill probably sneak a small spoon of ice cream 🤤 FYI - I dont know anything about yoga but from the yoga flow for stress relief pic ive learned that everyday im doing position savasanna....

    This looks really good! I haven't had goat cheese in forever. One of my favorite snacks prior to surgery would be Portuguese bread (only bread I really liked) with smeared crush red pepper sauce and goat cheese.

    Crispy on the corners! But the rest kinda just blended with the ground pork. They're not chewy at all. Almost seemed like they weren't there. BTW I bought them on amazon. Making this made me realize I enjoy the filling more than anything so Ill probably make them in meatball form or stir fry the meat for lettuce wraps.

    LOL ironically I made Keto dumplings for lunch today. Ive been craving them like crazy but these did the trick! They look very weird, but they tasted just like them. Next time Ill cook them less, some were a little overdone. Each dumpling had a tbsp of ground pork filling and I ate 5 of them.

    Thats awesome!!! I started at 376 and had my surgery on 8/5. I am finally out of the 300's! Such an amazing feeling. Whats you goal weight?

    1. Personal goal: For this month my goal is to lose 20 pounds. My weight loss is slowing but Im hoping I can do it. I completed my November goal with was getting out of the 300's before 12/5! I haven't been in the 200's since 2014. 2. Add your surgery type, status (pre/post op, losing/maintenance): Post op, losing 3. Weight and BMI (not necessary but encouraged): 299 4. Tell us about your favorite winter activities: Going to NYC with my bf, Christmas shopping, building gingerbread houses with my siblings, shoveling snow (believe it or not I actually love shoveling), and going to the La Salette Shrine to see all the lights and drink hot chocolate. Looking forward to Decembers challenge! Lets do this!
