    🍁 OCT 2019 CHALLENGE 🍁

    5. Made it to the gym for cardio and then my 5 hour yoga teacher training class. Didn't do my Abs Anywhere but somehow, I don't feel guilty. I don't think I did a random act of kindness yesterday... B-side: Worst job was a part-time gig at Friendly's in a mall at Xmas time. I don't think I lasted more than a few shifts. Or the other one was as a temp sweeping up a lumber yard overnight. To this day, I don't like the smell of cedar chips. 6. About to head to the gym and then yoga class again...I think we're going to go to the beach again today. Yesterday was too cold. I'll see about getting the Abs Anywhere done by the end of the day. Oh, and I know we're going to do a new routine at yoga so I think I can say that I will do a new exercise today. I too don't think a forkful of something is a cheat. I started doing that back in July when I was on my trip...it was nice to taste things...lots of things look better than they taste I find. Even yesterday, someone brought in a blackberry coffee cake to the yoga class...I had literally a bite size piece and that was enough. Also, this is why I track everything...I know what I have room for and I can adjust accordingly if I actually eat more than a bite. In the meantime, I seem to have a hit a stall/plateau....just the wrong side of onederland! Grrrr! Yet, I can feel my body changing and so I guess it's trying to catch up...but still, so frustrating! Anyway, I think all I can do is continue to stick with the program, not weigh myself for a bit (currently too frequently because I'm so close to that onederland number), and drink more water.

    3. Got the abs anywhere done and some cardio at the gym. Didn't pack a lunch as I've been coming home for that lately. But when I do pack one, I do make sure it's healthy. Today I'll be carrying a banana "just in case". 4. Somewhere today I'll get to the gym - either mid morning during a cancellation or after the dentist this afternoon and then there's yoga tonight. I don't think I'll be entirely unplugged today but pretty close - but I'm here aren't I? LOL.

    2. Went to the gym this morning and got my cardio done. I'm thinking the abs may be every other day...the gym, yoga, and abs seem like a lot - at least that's what my body is telling me today. But you never know, I might do my abs while I wait for my dinner to be ready tonight... Hmmm, try something new...well, I think the yoga stuff is new and I've been playing with skipping breakfast lately...not sure if I'm committed to IFS. How does one get all one's protein in in such a short time? I am tired today...waiting for some rain...and hoping to go to bed early tonight.

    🍁 OCT 2019 CHALLENGE 🍁

    1. My goal is to get into onederland….(no joy this morning) and then beyond. Mostly, I'm loving how fit I feel and I want to keep that going. Oh yes, working on lowering that BMI. Continue my yoga teacher training and gym. 2. Sleeve on 12/12/18. Still losing...slowly but surely. Current weight is 200.2 and BMI of 37. 3. Anywhere abs. 4. Right now, I don't know what sweater fits me so not sure of my favorite. I haven't gotten them out of summer storage yet. Will have to update this one later.

    30. Well, to finish out the month...down 7 lbs in total....a hair's breadth away from onederland at 200.2. Grrr. I hope I wake up tomorrow and start the new month in onederland. My new thing is to practice mindfulness...goes with my yoga training...ooohhh, today I'm feeling muscles I'm not used to feeling! Like the front of my shins. The squats went out the window but I'm ok with that because it wasn't that I wasn't moving. I guess that's it for the month....I really enjoyed it! Thanks for hosting GT!     💜 SEP 2019 CHALLENGE 💜

    28. Completed the 5K walk and was somewhere in the middle as far as placing went. It was an absolutely beautiful day. Then I went to yoga teacher training for the afternoon...and we went to the beach to practice! There were some squats in the practice but that's not what we called them. I didn't watch much tv or video yesterday but I did see a funny thing where someone dressed up as a bear and scared his co-worker when he came around the corner. 29. Sore butt and hips this morning. I'm going to the gym and then another afternoon of yoga and we're going back to the beach! So glad we're getting in this outside time on the weekend. Of course, it doesn't help me mow my lawn...oh well. No plan for squats today unless I'm doing leg presses or they are part of the yoga routines. Right now, I would say that the something good that happened is being outside a lot of the weekend. B-side. Super busy...hmm, I would say reading before bed and, these days, gym/exercise somewhere in the day. Oh, and of course, some time with the fur babies! I like to make sure they know that they are loved every day and they let me know the same.

    25. Update - no squats. I also blocked a couple of negativing things that were showing up on my facebook feed. 26. No squats. I think I fell off the squat wagon. That's it! I said no to squats! LOL. 27. Squats continue to be unlikely. I did start yoga teacher training this week on top of my usual daily gym routine. Oh, and because of that, I don't expect to use the phone tonight either. Tomorrow is the 5K walk! I'll let you know how that goes. Happy Friday folks!

    24, Squat rest day! No date nights for me. I'd have to meet someone I'd want to do that with, lol. 25. My butt is having a rebellion so not sure about squats today. Who knows, I may suck it up by midnight, lol. B-side - 1, depends on the quantity...currently that's a lot so those squats are faster. I'd go slower if I was doing less. 2, Not sure I understand the question, but, yes, love my oldest (long-term) and dearest friend. I used to say that if she'd been a guy, I'd have married her. Quite happy to be best friends and sisters at this point.

    23. Groaning and moaning in my head about 160 squats and knowing it's only going to get worse. But, I got them done and I did accomplish 155 yesterday as well. Thanks to the puppy, I started going home for lunch and I ate that on my deck in the backyard. If it's still light out when I get home, I'm thinking I need to do some poop patrol for the dogs' and my sake. In the meantime, I got crazy and signed up for a 5K walk this Saturday!

    20. No night in with friends planned. I don't think any of us are interested in organizing a night in. Rest day from squats. 21. Did do a meditation yesterday morning at the start of my workshop. Also accomplished 150 squats. 22. More workshop today....no face time with family who live far away. Will get to the 155 squats at some point. B-side. 1. I think it would be hard to live without the smart phone when on the road because of the ability to call for help or get directions. Otherwise, I grew up in the days before cell phones and I miss that some days. 2. Not sure that I see any measurable difference but I wasn't looking for any. It was about the exercise for me. I think I'd be interested in some ab work, particularly the lower abs. I feel like I neglect them.

    18. I forgot to do my squats. I didn't do any major projects or anything but I did take the trash out which is on the weekly to do list. Hope that counts. 19. Making up for missed squats yesterday so 270 squats completed! Oy! I feel them most in my quads. I'll compliment the next person I see. LOL. Happy Thursday!

    16. I did get my 105 squats done yesterday. I was doubting my follow through so glad I said I'd update about that. My thighs are grateful for the rest day today - I could feel the complaining when I was at the gym earlier. I had to push myself this morning to get up and go...I don't think the shorter days are helping. I want to stay in bed when it's dark out. Much as I would love to schedule a game night, it's not going to happen here. However, I did play games when I was vising my family at the beginning of the month. We played a game twice a day and it was a lot of fun. Mid-month check in - meh. I was happy but the scale didn't move this week so meh. Hopefully, the scale will catch up with me and give me credit for all my hard work! B-side - I think my pets are my biggest fans. Haters don't get to stay in my life - who needs the negative energy?

    15. I didn't get to bed early last night but might tonight...or maybe a nap...I'm tired. I already blew the water thing - I had coffee...which is water with instant coffee....but I can promise that everything that I will drink today has water in it. I'm heading to the gym soon...I have it my head to do the squats at some point but I'll report on that at my next post.

    Anyone NOT track their calories?

    I was never told to count calories but I do track them because I've been monitoring my protein intake all along. I'm always trying to make sure I get within the guidelines of 60 to 80g. I prefer around 60. In that process, I am also aware of my calories because the fitbit app does the math. I also have a kitchen scale to help me. I expect I'm going to track for a very long time. It's when I don't and a bite of this or that creeps in that I get in trouble. I'm not done losing so I'm not sure what maintenance will be like but I don't want to undo all this good work. I will say that the team I work with has never suggested counting calories or told me what my calorie limit might be...I think it's more about nutrition.

    @Deedee12 - Oh my. Sorry for the unpleasant experience. I have to say that I look at people like my family as if they have 2 heads because of how much they can eat. The irony...haha. 14. Squats done, just finished a movie so that's done. Not sure that I'll go to bed early...it is Saturday night after all.

    12. Rest day for my butt! Yay! But honestly, I did go to the gym so not entirely a rest day. I don't see myself doing any hobbies today but I will try to do so over the weekend. Bside - I think my new habit is the gym. I was thinking about it earlier...I think I could count on one hand how many days I've not actually not gotten any exercise. I'm addicted to exercise! So funny. Another new habit is tracking everything I eat. I have had this habit before but I plan to keep it now...well until my eating is out of my hands.

    11. 75 squats done. I'm considering scheduling a massage for my spa time. Bside. Fall doesn't have a flavor for me. It does smell of fallen leaves and woodsmoke though.

    10. Well, I did get my 65 squats for yesterday done and my 70 for today. I did also get my exercise in and there was some walking involved so I shall count that as a walk taken. I will also probably do some walking around the front yard with the puppy when I get home for training purposes. As far as my glutes go, I just don't want them to be flat. So far so good.

    Day 8 - Rest day from squats! Went to the gym though. The only music I listened to yesterday was the crickets. I do love their song though. Day 9 - Been to the gym, still need to do my squats. I read pretty much every day unless I'm super tired so that one is a given. I'll do my squats in between appointments - I get tired of sitting so this will help. Have a great day!

    Day 6 - Had a nice workout at the gym and did 55 squats while in the backyard watching the dogs play. I like to think I plan healthy meals every day...anyway, had a nice salad with chicken last night for dinner. Day 7 - I went out to breakfast with friends. Went to the gym. I did leg presses there and debated calling them squats too but decided to be safe and have done 60 squats. So far today, I haven't found a reason to ask for help. B-side. My family members in Florida have all checked in as safe. Here we had steady rain and some wind but nothing major.

    Day 5. A little Body Groove first thing this morning. A quick visit (30 minutes) to the gym mid morning. 40 squats after lunch. Still planning to do 30 minutes of yoga and hoping the puppy doesn't interfere too much. Very glad it's nearly Friday.
