    🍂 Nov 2019 Challenge🍂

    20. As always, I'm most grateful for my four fur babies. I so enjoy them and hope they enjoy me. 21. What popped into my head is my toothbrush. Odd I know but I do love the feeling of freshly brushed teeth. 22. I don't there is one particular memory, rather it's a collage of times interacting with my family (which could go either way) in positive ways.

    20. I'm grateful for my furbabies every day. They are a huge support for me. B-side - I've always preferred salt but I do like both. No change for me.

My most recent splurge item that is in my house, is Hazel my puppy. I'm super grateful for her presence as well as her older fur sibs. Not worried about Thanksgiving...my favorite part is when there are brussel sprouts.

    18. I think the trait I enjoy most right now is having a positive attitude. Of course, I've had bad days but for the most part, that positivity helps me to keep on truckin' as they say.

Catching up. 12. My BFF, my Mom, my other BFFs 13. Right now, my favorite season is Summer but I do enjoy all of them. 14. Not sure about the rejection one. I was glad when I got laid off from one of my jobs because it helped me transition to working in the field that I am in now. 15. I always liked my eyes. 16. I'm going to say Grateful Dead but there are quite a few. But going to one of these shows always meant I was going to dance throughout with people that I love. I smile whenever I hear one of their tunes because of the memories I have. 17. I love working with people and watching them grow and work towards becoming their best selves.

    🍂 Nov 2019 Challenge🍂

    10. Yesterday was a good day. Breakfast with a friend, gym, and then home to putter in the yard and mystery shows on tv. I'm most grateful for all the time spent with immediate and extended family. Today, we are all scattered all over the planet and it is rare that we are in the same place at the same time (the extended ones anyway). No one lives in the same town or state anymore. 11. I'm not sure what movie I'm most grateful for. There are so many I can watch again and again. Always loved The Marx Brothers, original Pink Panther movies, those were good laughs with my family. Loved The Big Chill and Silverado. There are so many movies from old black and whites to present day. I suppose anything that moved me, made me laugh, or think, or gave me a space away from the day-to-day. Ok, time to go to the gym. So loving this 3 day weekend! Yard stuff later it's so nice out!

Day 8 update: Ok, so I've had these ice cream bars in my freezer since last Spring and I didn't care until yesterday when I ate one. Definitely challenged by this challenge. Hmmm, have some head work to do. Day 9: Wow, I'm glad that I've been to all the places I've been. I learned things and had fun. But, you know, a few years ago, my mother and I visited Argentina where she was born and I am very happy that we had that trip together. And on a side note, I visited the endocrinologist yesterday and I officially no longer have diabetes! Yay!!! This journey itself has been so worth it!

    7. Update: Well, I ate the other half of the candy bar yesterday at lunch. But, I had expected it so my plan was adjusted accordingly. And I have either have a cold or allergies but my head's all stuffed up and I'm full of sneezes and sniffles. 8. Hmm, no candy in the house so should be a good day. I think the life lesson I am most grateful for was the time I was married. I learned a lot and it changed the trajectory of my life.

    6. Nature - I think what I love most about it is watching life in action from the cycles of the season to seeing living things going about their business whether it's an insect, bird, or squirrel. All of it works for me. And yes, I love water and am not happy when I'm not near some. 7. Hard to choose any one book. Maybe one of my first ones that turned me into a reader. There was Island of the Blue Dolphins, The Trumpeter Swan, and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. On the food challenge...did well on Tuesday, nearly made it through yesterday but had 1/2 a candy bar last night. On another note, I just gave up daily coffee today...I was drinking it to support regularity but way too much sugar and since I stopped taking biotin, no problem with regularity. So...I know, tmi.

    5. I suppose the item I'm most grateful for after my fur babies is my bed! I love being all cozy and comfortable. Did well on the food challenge yesterday. My meals are all plotted out so as long as there aren't any hazards at work or yoga tonight, I should be all good.

Day 4. So far, so good on the food challenge. I have so many memories that I cherish that it is hard to choose one in particular. Perhaps that's the point of the challenge, to remember all that has been good or good for us in this life. There are people, fur babies, events, places and times that are all so wonderful. I was thinking that my memories of meeting and overcoming challenges are huge (like when I was rock climbing and made it to the top) because they help me know that I can do pretty much anything I set my mind to. That helps a lot.

Hello...a little late but I'm here. Goal...keep losing and exercising and get in more fluids. 195 as of today. Sleeve 12/12/18 1. Grateful to be alive and full of energy. 2. I think I'm most grateful for my car as far as technology goes...it means I can go places. 3. I think cheese might be the food I'm most grateful for. It's really hard to choose though. The food challenge is going to be a challenge. Yesterday I had half a donut at yoga...I was grateful that they'd been cut in half. I did include it in my tracking. I exchanged potato for fruit when I was out to breakfast with friends so that was good. I don't expect to be perfect but I will make sure I don't bring any of the no no list home and will keep healthy snacks handy so I can make good choices. I did get some dried mango while I was at Trader Joe's yesterday and didn't get any other types of sweets while I was there.

    🍁 OCT 2019 CHALLENGE 🍁

It will forever be the month I got back into onderland! That being said, not as much weight loss as previous months. But really, it was a good month with all my activities. Looking forward to the new month.

    🍁 OCT 2019 CHALLENGE 🍁

    24. It was a long work day and when I got home, I learned that my dogs had escaped and run the neighborhood. Apparently, they snuck back under the fence just before I got home. So glad my neighbors told me. So, everyone is now wearing their invisible fence collars including the puppy. I don't remember how I did with social media that day but was barely on it on Friday because I was at a workshop all day. 25. Workshop all day with gym during the lunch break. 26. Workshop all day with gym during the lunch break. Also reached out to some old friends in anticipation of heading home for Thanksgiving. Didn't get a chance to do a photo walk but definitely saw lots of beautiful colors and possibilities driving back and forth to the workshop. 27. Workshop most of the day. Drove through a horrible rain storm and nearly ran out of gas. I stopped at a gym on the way home and that helped me de-stress. I got constructive feedback from one of the assistants at the workshop. Oh, yeah, and did some abs while at the gym. 28. Gym this morning and now work. I've been doing journaling at the yoga training and at the workshop I'm participating in. B-side: Back to basics sounds wonderful! I feel like I have the exercise thing going on right now between the gym and the yoga. But I'm anxious about keeping things moving on the scale and not falling into bad habits so yes, back to basics really sounds like something I can get into especially with the holiday season and shorter days coming up.

    🍁 OCT 2019 CHALLENGE 🍁

Update to Monday - I did stretching and it was in the dark under the stars on my deck. So lovely and spontaneous. 22. Went to the gym and to yoga class. Have not had a power nap but I've definitely wanted one or two or three. 23. Went to the gym this morning. I think my giant "to do" list stresses me out and trying to get to places on time. B-side: Yes, I broke out my flannel sheets for the colder months. Really, I'd probably enjoy them all year. I find them nice and cozy! I'm definitely a fan.

    December 2018 Sleevers!

Yay for everybody's successes. I'm not done yet but I'm loving life. I especially love all the energy I have and have become an exercise addict. Woot, woot to everyone!

    🍁 OCT 2019 CHALLENGE 🍁

    20. Sunday was a beautiful day. Went to the gym and then to yoga where I did a head stand and two hand stands! I am in awe of myself! Haven't tried a new recipe but contemplating something with carrot, parsnip, and fennel very soon. 21. Still in awe of myself. Made it to the gym this morning and then to the eye doctor. I had a cancellation around lunchtime so I took the extra hour to sort through my clothes - binning up summer stuff that might still work next year and tossing stuff that no longer fits or serves. I will definitely do some stretching (aka yoga) before the day is out. Happy Monday!!

    🍁 OCT 2019 CHALLENGE 🍁

Let's see....I was sick on Thursday and it seems like whatever it was may have been related to the Bomb Cyclone we got hit with...anyway....I was like a lump on the sofa all day in front of the boob tube. I made it back to the gym yesterday and to work. Last night in yoga class, we had a local NPR radio guy lead us through a meditation!! I'll count that that for my meditation via podcast! Currently eating my breakfast and then headed to the gym on my way to yoga. If you'd told me I'd be like this last year, I'd have probably laughed and shook my head. I always cook what I like but can't say I've done any of my favorite meals since the surgery except for one of my salads. Haven't had Milanese or Mac & Cheese. Right now, I'm working on being mindful of my tummy and not putting in more than it wants even if it means I might not meet my protein goal that day. Hmm, I recently treated myself to new yoga pants and socks and I love them!

    🍁 OCT 2019 CHALLENGE 🍁

    16. Gym this morning but no abs yet. I have an ongoing list of goals for myself that I mostly carry around in my head but I've written them down as well. I should probably update the written version. Mid Month Check In - We woke up to cold weather this morning, I could see my breath. Still not frost cold but I'm colder these days than I'm used to being. I don't like being cold. This weather is making want hot soups and hot drinks so it's gotten harder to get my water in but I keep trying. The weight just isn't moving as fast right now but it does continue to creep in the right direction. At this point, I'm just hoping for a good buffer between me and the 200s and I'm hoping this is just one of those plateaus/stalls and not where I stop. The team said that things could continue for 18 months to two years. I can't believe I'm two months away from my surgiversary. It's been a good 10 months so far!

    🍁 OCT 2019 CHALLENGE 🍁

    15. Hah, I actually did some Abs Anywhere last night while I was watching my dogs in the yard. This morning I made it to the gym and did my cardio. I have yoga tonight for 3 hours so that takes care of that challenge today. Bside: I have to say, I have lots of challenging conversations on a daily basis because that's the nature of my work.

    🍁 OCT 2019 CHALLENGE 🍁

    12. Well, I was a day late but I watched A League of Their Own last night. Still haven't had a bubble bath but did enjoy a nice hot shower. I have to say though, on Saturday night, I took myself to a concert and thoroughly enjoyed myself - I could definitely count that as pampering myself (I saw Ray LaMontagne). Also on Saturday was lunch with friends and a trip to the gym. 13. I did happen to randomly clear out my emails and move things to folders where appropriate so that works. I also took the pups to the beach for a walk yesterday and later went to the gym where I had time to do as much as I wanted. 14. Here we are...rather lazy overcast day so far but I'm headed to the gym shortly where I will get to do cardio and abs (although not Abs Anywhere) but still abs. I've been bad about those Abs Anywhere. BSide: With an extra $1000, I'd probably split it. 1/2 towards bills and 1/2 towards something fun for me....like maybe some new clothes or a trip somewhere. Happy Holiday whatever you might call it.

    🍁 OCT 2019 CHALLENGE 🍁

    9. I didn't pamper myself yet but I'm sitting here on wet Friday afternoon with a hot cup of tea and the idea of a hot bath does appeal. I'm sure I can take care of that in the next few days. No abs anywhere on the 9th but did get in some yoga on top of cardio at the gym. 10. Cardio at the gym, some abs anywhere but didn't finish them all, no Goodlife group class but I am in a group class with the yoga. 11. Delicious time at the gym this morning...cardio, abs, some legs...more tomorrow. My plot is to do a full yoga routine via video this evening. And I just spoke 3 things I love about me out loud. Happy Friday and long weekend for those who have Monday off. I'm so excited for to have that for myself.

    8. Made it to the gym for 30 minutes of cardio...I have yoga tonight for 3 hours. I did get my abs anywhere done yesterday...maybe I'll do them again today while dinner is in the oven. That seems to be the prime spot for getting those done. I'm grateful for all 5 of my fur babies and for so many things. B-side: These days it's brussel sprouts that top my veggie list. But it's awfully close. I love asparagus, artichokes, broccoli, cauliflower, lettuce, spinach, corn on the cob. After that we get to root veggies.

OMG!!! Onederland!!!! Yippee!!!! I must've needed to vent yesterday. Now I wonder how far I will go. This rocks! Yay! 7. I'm headed to the gym so my cardio is 30 minutes and I'll take that as my 30 minute walk today. Didn't get the abs done yesterday except for whatever was part of the yoga training. I'll definitely do them today! I'm so happy and motivated!
