    Ya know what's awesome????

I know what you mean! The scale is going in the right direction and that makes me happy. Tomorrow (my two week anniversary) I get to go for my follow up and I'm hoping to begin to re-integrate solid foods! I just need savory flavors beyond the bouillon. They wouldn't tell us what the next phase was because they didn't want us to get ahead of ourselves...so puree or whatever...something besides a full liquid please. I'm grateful to my friend and her husband who have become my new gym buddies. It helps with the motivation, accountability, and makes it easier to not watch the clock on the treadmill. So, here's to the New Year and to the attainment of our goals for health and well-being.

    I NEED SAVORY!!!

Yup, I was freaking out yesterday. My choices are so limited. If I couldn't have bouillon, I'd be in such big trouble! So bouillon is what I've been doing for savoury. I never liked tomato soup so that hasn't been an option for me. I can't wait for my follow up next week and hope I get to start doing food so I can quit the "sweet" stuff.

    So Dramatic...

Well, my surgery was only last week but I'm still wondering what happened to my knickers. I had a surprise visit the night before surgery so had been provided with hospital panties and a pad to wear for the procedure. When I woke up, I remember people saying "so embarrassing". When I got to my overnight bed, I realized I'd lost the knickers. When I got to the ladies room, I realized that I still had the pad...I don't even know how. Anyway, I can't help wondering what happened. Did they take the knickers and then regret it? Lately, I've been wondering if I might've "farted" during the procedure. I suppose I will never know.

    December 2018 Sleevers!

I think it will take practice. I find that I catch myself at the third swallow. So I pause to see how I'm doing. For me, there's a lot of retraining to do in that vein. Remembering to be mindful and chew slowly and thoroughly is next I imagine. But then again, I think that slowing down will help so I can still "enjoy" food with the few bites I'm imagining being able to tolerate.

Oh, yeah, and I noticed blurriness last night. I was tired too.
