You have to keep in mind that you were filled with gas/air and fluids in the hospital and your body is wondering what the heck just happened to it. You're recovering. The weight is going to drop like a rock any day now. QUIT WEIGHING! -

Medicare is my primary and I have a supplement. They approved my sleeve surgery without any issues.

Question about hair loss after sleeve

I haven't lost any more hair or thinned hair more than it already was due to thyroid issues. I didn't have dry skin either post -WLS. I've tried everything: biotin pills, Rogaine, Nioxin . . . none if it helped. -
Yeah it falls off really fast the first couple of weeks. Enjoy.

Don't worry too much about stretching your stomach. It's hard to do, it would take a LOT of eating and effort to do it.

So there are many ways to look at this. One is that the food you will be eating may cost more but you'll be eating less food overall, therefore not increasing your grocery or food budget. Another way is that the cost of medicine and health vs the slightly increased cost of healthy food calculation, It's not a barrier, really.

They tell you that Carbs are Total Carbs and Net Carbs are Total Carbs minus sugar alcohols and fiber, but a number of doctors/surgeons I watch on YouTube say there's no such thing as "Net Carbs" - that your body doesn't know the difference and a carb is a carb is a carb so to speak.

The main things they're looking for are your overall health, okay from a cardiac standpoint, okay from a respiratory standpoint, okay from a psychiatric standpoint. They want to make sure you'll be successful and not set you up for failure. They want to make sure your thoughts about WLS are realistic and reasonable. They need you to have a BMI over 35 with comorbidities or 40 without comorbidities.

There's nothing wrong with 1000 calories/day. The gherelin hormone from surgery was suppressed for the first little while, so you weren't hungry.

You shouldn't even be looking at the scale at this point. Just follow the program, stick to the program, heal, recover, and take care of yourself. The weight loss will happen on its own. Quit watching it. -
