Forbes: Why high protein diets may be linked to Cancer

I like your style! As a Master's prepared Critical Care / ER Nurse and Acute Care Educator and Nursing author (and gastric sleeve post=op patient), I value your posts and your getting sound, reliable studies posted! Thank you, Again, Eliz, MS, BSN, RN
  2. Hello! thank you so much for contacting me! It went well. I am walking a lot, trying valiantly o keep up with the water & protein protocols, sip by sip! I am learning to follow the hour-by-hour meal and H2O planning I did wit the Dietician, so I get everything, otherwise , a lot of the day goes by and I am H2o behind, is that common at tis stage? I am a fast learner, and am in this to improve my health, so I learn more each day. Again, thank you so much for contacting me - any words of wisdom or advice? eliz I have Sjogren's and Psoriatic Arthritis, two autoimmune disease, which, along with their treatment, leave me immunocompromised. I am on ENBREL for te situation, which helps. But due to surgery, they held the med for two weeks prior, to my surgery -which got bumped a week, and now I am two weeks out, hence I am a month without Enbrel. Long story sort, I am always in pretty bad pain, unrelated to my surgery. On Monday I see my Ruematologist, she will evaluate me and probably restart the meds. Yippee! Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Eliz
  3. So sorry about yesterday's venting, bad day, frustrated my husband was sweet, put up our Christmas  Tree.  God news this morning, I received my insurance approval.  '

After having my surgery date moved twice, I will be first case Monday morning, December 17th!  Hooray!  Thank you for listening! :)

  5. Hello! IS anyone from Oklahoma I am from Broken Arrow, OK and just rescheduled, again, but YAY! I have insurance approval finally., and I will be first case Monday, December 17th,!! Anyone scheduled for December 17th?
  6. My surgery got postponed AGAIN because te doctor's assistant (who calls herself a nurse, she is NOT!) kept neglecting to send tings to insurance, and se LOST 29 pages of my medical records I had sent directly to her from the Dietician back on Sept. 15th! They have confirmation she received them! I called the insurance company and she never sent them. When I called her, she said she never rec's them, I had the resent, the insurance then put it high priority but she is not taking responsibility, won't tell the Doctor and ask him to get me in this year before he goes on vacation. I have met all my deductibles and copays and this unprofessional nurse whom I have had to remind of every thing I had had to get done, make sleep assessment appt., make dietician appt., make Paychologist appt., etc., it is not my fault I keep getting delayed. Sorry, I am a little bumed and frustrated.
  7. Hi, new to this forum today, I am tentatively scheduled for Dec. 6th, waiting for the sleep assessment approval.
  8. Hi, I am new to the site, my first post. I just saw the dietician and am overwhelmed by the shopping list of protein drinks, protein waters and protein powders choices to buy in the next few weeks before surgery. Any recommendations of what tastes the best, with little or no after taste? Thank you!
