I may have a small problem...

Yep bought a bunch of powder even before surgery whenever it was on sale ended up giving most of it away

    Newly sleeved

That's insane... I didn't hit that until like 6 months out...
  4. It is time to make a stand... Throw out all the junk food.. tell your partner to get back on track and help each other be successful.. it is time to make a change before it is too late.. It feels like you both have eating disorders and need to get some help to combat that asap before you corky undo the surgery.. All I see is someone making excuses not to get back on track... the weather, the gym, the husband...
  5. I would talk to surgeon about your reflux just to be Safe as sleeve can make it worse..

    Guilt

I don't care I tell people the truth.. which is true I've changed my life and Eat healthy and everything but I had surgery to assist my weight loss... I actually advocate for people who are even thinking about surgery.. WLS is not a dirty word it's perfectly normal and medically necessary

    Is anyone else as disappointed...

The bypass is different there's alot of research about the bypassing of intestines that resets your set point and the malabsorption and such and yes I did a preop as most people do before surgery; if I include the preop then it took a total of 7 months to lose 157lbs and I've kept that off now over 3 months It is possible but it takes alot of commitment and hard work.

Haha okay enjoy I'm doing amazing thank you. if you Keep your eye on your weight and your goals there's no reason to regain. Most people regain because they get complacent. Goodbye

So it's fine for people to b***h and moan about how unhappy and unsuccessful they are? Yet it's not okay for people to feel good about celebrate their own achievements? I'm just over seeing all the negative posts and people continuously slacking or cheating then crying about their lack of weight loss? You can only blame yourself! So stop slacking off

I'm actually giving people information and speaking from experience for those who were unhappy with their sleeve there is an alternative

    Weight gain after sleeve

I'd lost 100lbs before on my own but it always came back until I had surgery
  13. Well there's more than just sleeve these days; but you have to ask yourself a few questions. How much weight do you need to lose? Do you suffer from reflux or gerd? Do you have diabetes? 45.7 is quite high I would look at the bypass or even DS

Just saying RNY totally changed my metabolism... I like most ppl here was obese for half my life.. No matter what I lost it would come back.. now with RNY I'm in maintenance and can eat most things without gaining any weight..

    Re-sleeve to Bypas

So irresponsible if the surgeon didn't advise you that sleeve will make GERD worse!! Bypass is your only option

Another person who should have chosen RNY bypass...

    Is anyone else as disappointed...

Well I struggled to lose weight for years until I had RNY bypass and now my whole metabolism has changed.. I no longer put on weight and I lost weight really well so I'd look into the bypass as it changes more than the sleeve?

You really need to log all your food and drink work out what you're eating.. Is it too much sugar or carbs or is it too much sodium? Are you drinking enough water? Are you sleeping properly? Or is your genes holding you back? Something is not right... I had bypass so that helped me I lost all 150+lbs and in maintenance now 9 months post op....

How did you pick your doctor?

Research and talking to the surgeon; and the fact he teaches other surgeons all over the world..

    Year and half post surgery

So sorry to hear you've been through so much.. I had bypass as well but only 9 months post op but my blood work has been good thus far.. Keep positive you'll get to the end eventually, I'm now in maintenance.. It is possible

    Weight loss after surgery

I lost 100% as well I was lucky I don't have a big regime just ate very strictly
  23. Well I've not had band but I did have RNY bypass and all my blood work have been fine. My hair issue wasn't loss of hair just that it grows slower. Dumping only happens if you eat like junk food which we shouldn't anyways.. My weight loss has been amazing and even surprised myself... No complications here but I am only 9.5 months post OP. Maintaining well
