  1. Oh I can't wait!!!! You go girl!!! If you're ever in Vegas we can go shopping as a celebration and sip protein shakes! LOL
  2. LOL, i love this!!! Fabulous advice!!! Dang food...it's everywhere!!! hahaha! Will-power. I'm working on it. So far, so good. It may sound silly, but I haven't fit in Victoria's Secret for a very long time, I keep telling people I am just waiting for the day I can shop there. Nothing wrong with Cacique, but I wanna carry that pretty pink bag around the mall proudly!!!
  3. That's hilarious, my mom brought those for me after my surgery. I eat my Jello with them. I feel fancy! LOL
  4. I think because hubby is so skinny and constantly eats fast food, I'm always around it. It hasn't gotten easier yet. It does taste sooooo good unfortunately but just not worth it. Been researching healthier versions of my favorites, like buffalo wings. I found a buffalo roasted cauliflower recipe that looks amazing, plan on trying it in a few weeks.
  5. Thanks, girl! Totally, we're in a marathon. Annd only just started. Hope it get's better I never learned moderation, so this is great practice. Why can't I crave steamed veggies and not Taco Bell? hahaha!
  6. Congratulations on the big loss!!!! That's fantastic!!! It's so hard to stay on track...keep your eyes on the prize and keep it up!!!!
  7. I am 3 weeks out from my surgery, still losing at least a pound a day. Eating right, drinking enough liquids, taking all my vitamins and staying as active as possible. We live in Vegas and the weather is great, my hubby and I like to go for nice long walks on the strip and people watch I feel great! Getting really excited, my 3x clothes are already getting to be too baggy for me. I have a donation bag started! I am so motivated to lose this weight and just wanted to see how quickly everyone hit their goal and when the "honeymoon" weight loss stops. I'm truly enjoying the pound a day loss, but don't expect it to continue forever. Hope everyone is doing fabulous!
  8. Thank you so much!!! I absolutely will take advantage of the new tiny tummy and these pounds falling off. You're right, comparing myself with others will ultimately drive me crazy. I am SOOOO happy for you, seriously, you rock and your success makes me feel even more like I can do this. Some days are harder than others. More than anything I've realized on this weight loss journey is that I have to take it one meal at a time and revel in the scales increasingly smaller numbers!
  9. You go girl!!! I feel you, I'm a little over 5'9" and don't have a small frame...I had family members in the NFL. All linebackers! We're made just made big. I can't wait to buy smaller clothes. I'm definitely out of 3x territory and back into 2x, so that's great! Avoiding social situations is definitely a big thing with me. I hate being the biggest girl in the room. Not any more, darn it! You're truly inspiring and I can't wait to be where you're at!
  10. OMG, that is AWESOME! Congratulation. Looking so forward to moving out of the plus size section. More than anything I hate how limited the selection is...and the cute stuff gets so expensive (Torrid). Thank you for sharing!
  11. Oh absolutely!! I had about 150lbs to lose from the beginning, as of today I have another 82lbs to go to hit my final goal. Getting off the main bulk is exciting. You've lost 100lbs so far?! Congratulations!!! That is so exciting! You can get that last 25lbs off girl, even if it takes a little longer, you can do it! Thank you for sharing, it helps me understand the long term a little bit more
  12. WOW! That's awesome!! Go figure, right?! Congratulations, you've done amazing!!!
  13. I will definitely give it a go then, I struggle to hit 80g a day. I have like every Bariatric Advantage flavor and, to me, they're all just awful. Thank you for the tip!!! We got this, girl!!!!
  14. Oooh let me know! i've been tempted to buy the unflavored protein. I've spent so much money on other crappy flavors, I'd given up LOL
  15. OMG, that is amazing and VERY inspiring!! Congratulations!!!! I'm working really hard to lose another 47 pounds before a trip to Ireland in 3 months. I want to be comfortable on such a long flight, hoping it's possible if I'm disciplined Thank you for sharing, that is incredible!
  16. Good for you, girl! The liquid stage was torture. All the sodium I was eating came from broth (bouillon) which is loaded with salt. I was craving flavor! I brew a big pitcher of decaf black tea every other day, have a lemon and some sweet'n'low to keep my liquid intake up. I notice i get tired of things very quickly and my sense of smell and taste buds are 1000x more sensitive!
  17. Don't stress on it girl, your body is just adjusting. As long as you're sticking to your protocol, you'll be fine. My doctor says sodium and our cycles can cause a TON of water retention too. It'll start to fall off shortly Are you eating any solids yet? I live off chicken, turkey, low-fat cheese and beans! LOL
  18. I have a trip planned to Ireland at the beginning of February. I've been consistently losing a pound per day since surgery. Hoping to keep this momentum going to be in the "overweight BMI" category before the trip. Thats 47lbs in 3 months. Do you think it's possible? Flights have been so uncomfortable for so long. Working hard to lose as much as I can before the trip!!!

That's aggressive, but not impossible. Even if you only lose 30, it will still be a more comfortable flight and a more enjoyable trip. Have fun, I love Ireland!

Absolutely, I'm going to be happy as long as I keep losing. These hips need to keep shrinking! LOL I hate spilling over into another seat...uncomfortable & embarrassing. This'll be our first time in Ireland, I'm really excited!

  19. Good morning Beautiful People! I was wondering how many ladies on here had surgery and had PCOS? I've been trying to conceive for 10 years now. My GYN told me my fertility should shoot up 10 fold (what 10 times nothing? lol) so my hubby and I should be careful. My main reason for having this surgery was to get healthy enough so that I could finally conceive. We're holding for for 12-18 months depending on my weight loss. We just bought a brand new 5 bedroom house. Praying I can turn one of these rooms into a nursery next year. Would love to hear your journeys!

    2018 Sleeves & PCOS/Fertility Issues

Thank you so much!!! I feel ya girl. It's the most frustrating thing in the world. Seeing those negative tests month after month 😕 PCOS is just evil. Went for years not knowing what it was, I only found out about 2 years ago after a trip to the ER. I wish you nothing but the best, stay motivated and keep up the good work...we can do this!!!

    October 2018 Sleevers

I had the same feeling several days following my surgery. It was all gas. I founf Gas-X helped a little, but walking helped massively. Even if it's just a few laps around your room or back and forth to the bathroom. Also eating too quickly creates gas and pressure for me instantly. Take small, small bites and try to get that gas/pressure out I hope that helps! Wishing you the best and a speedy recovery!

RIght, who knew how much we took chewing for granted?! I've definitely noticed I feel pressure in my chest if I eat too fast or accidentally take a drink of something (that has been a HUGE habit to break). I tried making turkey meatballs last night. Bad idea! LOL I had about 3 bites and my stomach was majorly upset. As of today I am 14lbs down now too! Do you feel like it's not going fast enough for all of this?! I feel frustrated even though I've lost a pound a day so far! I want to get up and exercising next week for sure. Looking at community pools and think swimming would be a good place to start. Hope you're doing fantastic! congrats on your soft foods stage!

    October 2018 Sleevers

Yeah, it's like my body wants protein from actual food. These shakes are just awful! I know I need to get it in somehow. Glad it's going down so easily!!!

    October 2018 Sleevers

Surgery was on the 16th! Down 12lbs since surgery, 30 total since pre-op diet. First 2 days, I was miserable. Felt like a human 1 week after. Having a heck of a time with the bariatric fusion shakes...they make me want to vomit instantly. Already starting to eat turkey and chicken (very small, thoroughly chewed pieces) and beans. Wondering what everyone else is doing and how you're tolerating different foods? Hope everyone is doing well and you're happy!
