I was sleeved the 13th, they fixed a hiatal hernia and an abdominal hernia. I have gone back and fourth on feeling better then feeling worse. My abdominal area is so sore I can’t bend. I think my spasms are finally getting a little better.... but still a struggle. I’m hanging in there though and I’m hopeful!

I understand that. I am just now going to bed. I was tempted to eat something before I went to bed but resisted. This is hard stuff. It’s a lot harder than I imagined. I’m sore and feel like I pulled a muscle in my stomach. Anyway , Hang in there!!

I know what you mean. I can’t eat a whole scrambled mushed up egg. I can only eat about 1/2, and that is hard to do. I have realized I sit and eat like o used too and that typically will make me feel really sick. I got kinda sad today, I know this is all temporary, but it’s a lot harder than I thought not being able to eat 1/2 of an egg like I used to.. I don’t eat like I used to period. I never realized how much eating consumed me and my life. I had a little mourning today in realization that my life is forever changed. Don’t get me wrong. I know this is a good thing for me, I know this is going to change and has changed my life for the better. I just guess I didn’t realize how drastically it was gonna change. It’s all settling in now. I am learning to eat much much slower when I eat my 1-2 oz of purée food. Learning to try to enjoy the small bites as I get them. I am not eating much purée, only once today. Anyway, tomorrow is a new day and I’m sure this is all normal or apart of the process. Glad you all are here to share with. 💕

Don’t be nervous, just remember this isn’t like we used to eat before. Before I’d be hungry and just start eating and eating... nope not anymore..., it’s take a small bite and chew (even though it is purée). Wait a few minutes before the next small bite. And when you feel that sensation in your chest stop and see if you really need more or not. I was shocked that I could only get 2-3 oz in. Anymore than that and it made me miserable. I’d rather under shoot it than overshoot it!! Good luck! You got this! SW 233CW 210.4GW 144

Started purée foods yesterday and ate 2 tsp of oatmeal. Waited about an hour and 1/2 and tried the ricotta bake, 3 small tsp. Apparently to quickly... ugh I thought I was gonna die I hurt so bad. Lesson learned. It’s interesting to see how little food I can actually eat. I also learned I need to eat slower. I was a little excited and let that get away from me. Walking everyday, not a lot but about 30 min. That has been good. Everything’s going well, it’s my mind I have to slow down.

Are you supposed to have 69 grams of protein or oz?
  8. Hello! Had my surgery on the 13th, came home yesterday. While they were in there they fixed my hiatal hernia and I had a hernia by my belly button that they also repaired. Biopsied my liver, said it was yellow?? Anyway, lots of pain and hard to get my Water down. Today I added a little crystal light to my water witch is helping get my water in. Been feeling really nauseous. I am liquefying my pain medicine in warm water which is been helping much more than to have it in cold water because it’s not grainy that way. Anyway, a little bit of a rough start out of surgery and up til now. Hopefully I’m turning a corner.
