    Stopping Omeprazole-

I was told after my 3 months to use as needed. I eventually didn’t need it, only very occasional like after I had something that was too acidic. But everyone is different. Your doc will probably put you back on it if youre still having symptoms. If you had GERD before surgery and got a sleeve, sometimes symptoms will get worse. That’s why doctors usually have patients with GERD do the bypass. Hope things get better for you. I’m sure it will.

    Light weight

@Frustr8 whatever, it was for my birthday so back off. I don’t need your judgment or condescending remarks.
  3. Depending on how big of a bunch you have, I usually will do about 12 individual stalks. Roughly 16 oz. I don’t include the the middle small ones and I take out the yellow leaves bc it makes it bitter if I leave it. Hope it works for you!

    Light weight

I’m VSG. Since I’m not eating much carbs these days, that could have also been contributing factor! My Surgeon said that I can expect to be “cheap drunk,” but apparently doesn’t phase some patients!

    Light weight

6 months post op. I had literally 3 sips of mimosa for my 30th birthday and got pretty hammered. It was surreal. My husband had to help me walk! I was warned it would happen but it was kind of funny. Oh well. I don’t drink a lot anyways, hardly ever. Thats probably a contributing reason why... 🤪
  6. I juice it myself. You can also blend it and strain it if you don’t have a juicer. I have it in the morning on an empty stomach. Warning first time may be a little gross, but not so bad afterward. Hope it helps you as much as it has helped me!!
  7. I’m about 5 months out. So I used to used smooth love tea which worked! But it comes with cramps and discomfort in my lower abdomen. The last two weeks. I’ve been drinking straight up celery juice in the morning and it’s worked wonders for me. I have regular BMs and I don’t have abdominal discomfort. 💩

    Is there something wrong?

I didn’t have a calorie limit bc I wasn’t expected to eat/drink that much. They mainly want to make sure youre getting your 60-80g of protein. So try not to have such a high calorie diet but Plan your meals and/or drinks around your protein. When I was at your stage I think I was 500 cals or less. Can’t be too sure. I had foamies ALOT and still kind of do if I over do it or eat too fast. Post op 2/21/19. Right now I’m only able to get in 700-900 calories. Not feeling nauseous is good. I was nauseated the first 1-4 days bc of the anesthesia, but havent been nauseous since.
  9. You’ll stall here and there, your body is trying to adjust to everything. Just keep doing what you were taught. Usually if I feel I’ve stalled for too long, (1-2wks) I’ll do a few days of my pre-surgery liquid diet/1clean meal a day. And that usually moves the needle again. And I start my regular diet from there. Make sure you’re exercising and drinking your water. That’s what going to help move things along. Also everyone is different. Dont be discouraged if youre not losing as fast as someone else. We’re all losing at our own pace. Try going to support groups if your provider has any. They’re pretty helpful.

    EVERYTHING feels stuck, keep vomiting

I remember being like that. I couldn’t keep anything down and just foamed right back out. My sister gave me propel water (I think the berry flavor) And once my electrolytes were replenished I was able to keep other liquids down.
  11. Project Me

    Liquid Tylenol

I bought both liquid and tablet Tylenol. I didn’t end up using the liquid bc there was high fructose corn syrup and was afraid of dumping. So I just broke the tablets and swallowed with water. You’re able to take medications m&m size or smaller.

    February 2019 weight loss buds

Same. It’s two weeks; 1 meal a day, low cal/low fat /low sugar/carb with unlimited protein shakes. I’m just doing salads (chicken or salmon) with skinny girl or Walden farm dressing. I suggest knowing what protein shakes you’re going to use prior bc some people are sensitive to certain ones. And heads up Costco’s premium protein shakes are on sale this month. 👍🏻
