Hi there,
Lovin the pics of everyone loosing, isn't it a great feeling. This summer I went to UK with my son for my nieces wedding, my son brought up a pic from July of last year and I could see a "slight" difference lol Id taken photos through out the past 10 months but nothing compares to this one. Its been a long journey and my weight loss is slowing down to a crawl but still loosing! 150lb loss has blown me and my surgeon away, from a 32 to a 14 right now is so cool. I would like to get to a 12 then I can comfortably stop looking at the scale lol
Hope you guys are doing ok, would love to see more pics of everyone!

Reached the 10 month post op mark four days ago.
I've been in maintenance for about 3 months now, having decided to stop losing weight back in the end of May. Still trying to find my "sweet spot" in terms of calorie intake and exercise. It's basically been trial and error, but I think I'm getting close 🤞🏼
Regardless, I feel awesome and am almost used to the new bod. I'm still sometimes taken aback when I see my reflection, or when I fit into clothes that look microscopic to me.
Anyhoo, here is a pic from a couple weeks ago (I'm wearing a bikini bottom for effs sakes! haven't worn one of those in decades). And for fun, some BEFORE pics (these were taken last summer, about 3 months before surgery)

I meant to post a before and after/progress pic earlier but I just got around to taking a picture this morning. Here it is...same dress, different bod:

On a normal day, each meal consists of 1-2 oz of some sort of protien & 1/4 to 1/2 cup of some sort of veggie OR a Protein Powder smoothie (protein powder + instant coffee crystals + Benefibre).
Here is what I ate yesterday (wasn't a good veggie day though...).

So today is my 6th month anniversary day!
96.9 lbs lost since my 2-wk pre-op liquid diet. My BMI in October was 43.2, this morning, I clocked in at 25.4, I,m sooooo close to the top end of the "normal" BMI range for my height. Yay me!
I wrote a longer-ish update here as I didn't want to double post 😉 :
btw, I also have a (beloved) spreadsheet that details inches and lbs lost by post-op week, post-op month, and calendar month. I was going to post it, but I'm not sure if its very interesting to anyone, lol. but I can post it/dm it if anyone is interested.

llhill got a reaction from DKG_WLJ in Unsupportive partners make me so angry!
Yeah so let me not get started with my husband and mom. My husband actually called my parents and they in turn called my siblings and everyone is blasting me for doing this. The entire family is blasting me. My husband said, "If your whole family is telling you not to do this then you shouldn't be doing this you should listen to your family." I told him he totally betrayed my trust and if I wanted my family to know I would have told them. It's a bad situation right now. My mom had a friend who got the surgery a LONG time ago, I mean ages along with her daughter. They both passed away and my mom associates that with the surgery. First and foremost, my mom doesn't even know what surgery they had but she's telling me that is the reason why I shouldn't do this. It's been really really emotional for me. My sister then called and asked me if I was doing this for my husband. It's all crazy town I tell you as if I can't soley make this decision for myself. I am glad for folks like you. We have to hold each other up and be supportive with each other. It's all I have right now. Also, keep your head up, your boyfriend is losing out.

My husband does not support me at all. It's very frustrating. I am very emotional about that fact that he continues to tell me every day (since a week ago) that I am not going to have the surgery even though it's in 10 days and I've already paid money for my surgery date slot. Every day my response to him is that I am going to do it. One thing I know is that I am ready for it even though it's risky, but I'm more sad that I don't have support. I'm not scared because the numerous success stories I've read so far keeps me excited for my future weight loss. But then I get sad again because I'm going to have the surgery alone. I'm sure I'll find surgery buddies to talk to and bond with.

llhill got a reaction from Sarah M. in Support each other
Sarah you can do this and you will be able to do this and do it successfully. This site has been so informational and inspiring to me. You are not alone period. My family loves me but did not understand why I had the surgery and after 5 weeks, they still don't. During your good days and bad days there are so many folks on this forum who can relate to what you are going through and will be able to provide you with some great suggestions and nuggets to help you to focus on your journey. I also understand you wanting to have someone nearby, but folks here are just a quick text/conversation away too! Again, you are not alone!

I purchased them at Walmart. They had a variety of SF popsicles...chocolate, tropical and the regular. I will buy the chocolate next when I can do SF pudding...which is actually tomorrow.
