Reading Roxane Gay's article on Medium really helped me to decide to get my VGS. I decided to write her a fan letter and she wrote back!~~Hi Jessica,You're more than welcome and I hope you are recovering well and feeling good in your body.Roxane~~Hi Roxane,I wanted to thank you. I had VGS surgery four months ago and I am doing great. Reading about your experiences made me realize that even though I am a Health at Any Size advocate and a feminist, that it was OK for me to get the surgery if I wanted it.
