  5. I'm not sure if this even should go here but it is to an extent a side effect of the surgery. For years I really couldnt work. I injured myself about four or so years ago and ended up becoming very sedentary and gained about 150 lbs or so.. just from not being able to walk.. and using food as a sort of unhealthy therapy.. I gained it all. Longish story short I've since having the surgery on the 22nd of October lost just about 100 lbs so far.. also I've been using the gym very regularly about 5-6 times per week. This has given me back alot of my mobility.. which is great.. but it also puts me into a place where I'm pretty sure I could work again.. and I have quite alot of trepidation at that idea because I've been so focused on this one aspect of my life and I'm worried I'll lose focus... but I need money.. and my folks need to be able to stop supporting me.. (embarrassing, but true) so logically I know I need to get work.. but mentally I'm really quite afraid of the prospect.. sigh.. I apologize if this is in bad taste.. I just had to get it out.. thanks. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Tortillas and chips?

Probably not.. or at the most maybe 1-3 corn chips tend not to go down very easily.. it gets better though.. but ya they're alot of "wait.. that was how many calories?" Type food so moderation is key. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Just a quick question

One thing I'd definitely say after a month or so of "eating what I wanted" I wasnt getting the results I was looking for.. it took going into the drs office a week and a half ago to wake me up to what I was doing.. its pretty easy.. at least it was for me.. to fall back into your old ways.. even if the portions are smaller that type of food tends to make me choose unwisely as a whole. I'd consider what you wanted from the surgery and bring it up when you have cravings for things that are pretty obviously taking you a step backwards.. to the exact question.. kielbasa is very fatty and filled with calories I'd consider sausage as a whole worth giving up on completely. 13. It's all dependent on what you do.. but ya the first couple months when your body is healing from the surgery can be very effective. But ya.. signing up for a new plan of life eating wise can have big changes too.. further on. Taking out all the bad and doing your best to keep to a set plan are as important as the surgery itself. 3 days out😞

It's normal. Try to walk to alleviate the gas. And be prepared to not be able to go no. 2 for a week if not more.. possibly. 11 days in my case.. but it passed eventually. Give it time. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    October 2018 Sleeve

Just scrolled back to this to reminisce. My surgery was 10/22/18.. so it's been a little under six months and I'm down 94 lbs since surgery.. although I had a bit of a rough patch month three through five where I was eating alot I shouldn't have.. I've recently regained some semblance of control over my eating and am eating alot healthier. How are other October surgery peeps doing? 17. It's only been a week.. you're ok. Trust me you wont be able to eat in any way or fashion the calories it would take to keep weight on. Just listen to your body and focus on healing. Results will come. Hw:496 Sw:476 Cw:380 Sleeved 10/22/2018 Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

1 Year Post Op - What are you eating?

I was very stringent for the first couple months.. then started to allow myself to experiment with different less healthy stuff which in turn kind of had me off track for a few months.. didnt stop losing.. but I went into my dr last Thursday and they said I wasnt fully meeting expectations.. which I sort of knew.. but didnt want to admit it.. after the appointment I've made a drastic change back to a pretty low carb low calorie diet somewhere around 1000 -1300 calories a day.. and cutting out all of the junk foods I was eating.. it's only been 5 days since then but I've seen good results so far.. down 8 1/2 lbs since last Thursday give or take. Oh.. I had surgery on the 22nd of October of last year so it's been almost six months.
