    Weight gain

I've considered Keto but I've always done better by counting carbs. Years ago I lost 40 pounds by watching my carbs but eventually gained it back then decide to have the sleeve. I do not regret it, my only regret is that I didn't do it years ago. My nutritionist told me that with my strong desire for sweets that I should have a piece of sugar free chocolate everyday. I just need to discipline myself and only eat sugar free and low carb. I have come too far to turn back now!

    Weight gain

I understand. We stay pretty busy as we clean offices and something quick and easy has become our norm. I have a terrible addiction to sweets and snacks. There lies my problem. I used to go to the gym 3 or 4 times a week, now I think I'm too busy to go at all. I need a new mindset, a motivation that I must find within myself. I hope you continue on your journey with great success!

    Weight gain

I am utterly ashamed of myself. I have not been following the plan. I initially lost 60 pounds with 30 mre to go to reach my goal but I have been eating sweets and have gained 10 pounds! I promised myself I would not do this after my surgery but here I am and I can't seem to get back on track, get motivated. Help me someone!

    Frustrated, need advice.

Get another opinion, they may just be wrong.
  5. Hi Everyone, I am about 9 weeks to my one year surgery date and 30 pound left to meet my goal. I lose very slowly, I guess because I am 62 years old and dont have a lot of energy to hit the gym all the time. I have lost 55 lbs so far, does anyone have any ideas on jump starting my weight loss so I can meet my goal?
  6. You look amazing! Your goal is just ahead, you've got this!

    6 month post-op weight loss

Congratuations on such great results! I was sleeved on Aug. 31, 2018, I am almost at my 6 month mark and have lost 50 pounds. I am 62 years old and I understand that my rate of loss may be less than someone 20 or 30 years younger. I am 35 pounds away from my goal and 6 more months to lose it in, I sure hope I can do it!

Thanks Naughty Glitter Goddess for replying to my post. I'm trying to get back on track from the holidays too, which means more protein! I just hope the fact that I can eat a whole grilled cheese doesn't mean I've stretched my pouch. 😕

Sleevers I feel ashamed of myself. I am 4 months out and I can eat a whole grilled cheese! I mentioned to the nutritionist that I had ate a grilled cheese, she was like, "You can't eat the whole thing can you?" Oh Yes I can, does this mean I have stretched my pouch? I'm so scared now.

    30 second elevator interview

I am a 62 year old grandmother of four, two of which are two month old twins! I am a Christian and I love spending time with my family. I love reading, baking, crafting and especially Christmas!
  12. How are you progressing? I feel in slo-mo. Down only 22 pounds since my Sleeve on August 30th. I' m older than most of you at 62, so maybe I'm a slow loser, but I'm disheartened with my numbers.
  13. I envy those with this new found energy. That's the very reason I had the Sleeve almost 4 weeks ago, for my health. I was tired of being tired. But so far I haven't had any burst of energy, I'm still quite tired. I plan on returning to the gym soon, hopefully getting some type of exercise will help increase my energy level.
  14. I am 5 days out, still quite sore since I also had a hernia repair. I wonder if I will ever feel better and able to get back to normal things. My emotions are running high right now.
