  1. I'm almost 3 months post op and just did my first round of blood tests. According to the results I have low HDL and low alkaline phosphatase. When I google what both of these mean, they both talk about malnutrition. Anyone have similar lab results their first round? Should I be worried? Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Dating

I haven't tried sushi yet so I didn't really want my first time trying it post op to be while I'm on a date. Alsooo... sushi may be good date food but it sure isnt good pre- cardio food. [emoji40] [emoji40] Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

Omg 15 days is crazy! I havent gone days without going. It's just been hard to go and I feel like my in/out ratio is off lol I'm eating more than I'm going. And yeah, id prefer not having the doctor's hands near my areas! Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

I thought I was in the clear...

Lol! It would be something else if I had 34 year old **** in me when I have only been alive for 24 years! A shitty miracle. I'm afraid of MOM! Pre-op I have always had a really sensitive digestive system (IBS). So the constipation is a new experience for me. I've also heard that the more stimulants you take the more your bowels can become reliant on them which makes it harder to become normal. My stomach has been rumbling ever since I've taken the Colace! My personal trainer mentioned something about growing chia seeds in water and drinking that to help go. Have you heard of/tried that method? Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Dating

I don't want to hijack your post@GreenTealael but I figured I'd let you all know that I'm going on my first date with a potential cardio partner since surgery tomorrow! They suggested a sushi place, I told them I had "stomach surgery" a couple months ago and have limited food options. They said it was not a big deal and suggested a burger pub and said I could have a drink (which I cant). Lol I decided not to be a pain and said sure with the intention of only having water. We shall see how it goes... Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Tips for Stopping Caffiene

Caffeine is a diuretic so it can dehydrate you if you're not drinking enough water. But yeah, I haven't heard any docs say no coffee at all post op. My NUT said that drinking coffee will not deter weight loss in anyway but that I should be having an additional 16 oz of water for every cup of coffee I drink. This is in addition to the 64 oz I am supposed to be drinking without coffee. Lots of water. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
  11. Yeah, I was looking at the list of foods that increase HDL but do not see much on there that I would able to tolerate. I meet with the doc on Jan 3rd to go over my results Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

Online dating - shady or no?

Hmm. Not any more shady than meeting someone at the bar. I think it's hard to meet people anywhere but online these days. Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

I Believe It Was Worth It

I knew this was the correct decision for me from beginning and have not experienced a single regret. Yes, there has been some tough times but nothing unbearable or unexpected. Sadly, I think a lot of people "jump into" having bariatric surgery without doing a lot of research and therefore they have a lot misconceptions about what to expect. Anyone have no issues with plain water?

I hated flavored water before surgery. The only thing I would drink was plain water and seltzer. After surgery, now I like some flavored waters and can't really tolerate cold water Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Social outings suck now

Sleeved 10/2. Have always been an extrovert who loves going out with friends, going to parties, bars, clubs, etc. but ever since I've been sleeved all these experiences have sucked. Not being able to eat or drink while everyone around me is is not fun at all. How did you guys cope with this? Sent from my SM-G960U using BariatricPal mobile app
