  1. Looking to connect with people that have had their band a while and are still happy with it! I’ve had mine for 12 years! Sw 314 Lw 170 Cw 223. I’ve gained some back and wanting to find some support to help refocus.

  2. Haven’t been on in forever. Nice to see some bandsters still out there. I’ve had mine for almost 12 years. No major problems but keep it a little looser to avoid reflux. With that being said, I’ve also gotten looser with my food and I’ve gained about 50 lbs. ready to refocus and commit again.

  3. S_suther that’s great and it sounds like you are doing a great job! It’s been so long since I’ve thought like a band girl that I’m really having to refocus. I might need to try your Fiber shake because afternoons are a hard time for me as well. How are you logging food? An app or good ol paper and pencil? I need to figure out some exercise to incorporate. Have some hip issues so I need to be careful with that.

  4. Great! Let’s do this! I’m ready to get focused yet again. I’m wonderful. Will welcome my 3 rd grand in March! 2 sons. 2 grandsons and I’m finally getting a little girl in my life! I’ve left the classroom and have taken over as principal of my early childhood center and am working on my masters. Yes my district let me take the job while working on my masters. I’ve gained some weight and been doing weight watchers and then I was thinking this week...hey you’ve got this band why don’t you use it!! Got back on some blogs and came back creeping around here. Missed y’all!!! How have you been?

  5. 11 years in May for me! I keep my band a little loose due to some reflux....unfortunately that means I can eat anything. Been trying to do ww but then I thought ....hey just use this toool that you have. It’s been so long since I’ve eaten like a bandster I’m having to really think about it.

    Good to hear from y’all!

  6. Hello all! Thought I'd check in. My surgery went well...kicked my butt a little more than I expected but I'm feeling better every day. Had my follow up on Monday and my oncologist said my pathology was great. Small amount of cancer contained in the uterus so no further treatment!! [emoji1373][emoji1373]. Y'all sound like you are doing a great job! Keep it up!

  7. @s_suther that was beautiful! Thank you so much. All prayers are appreciated!! He is definitely with me! You know the lovely prep for the colonoscopy right? Well in the middle of mine today I had to make a 2 hour drive pulling our travel trailer. After being a frequent visitor all day to the rr. I made it the whole 2 hours without an issue!! [emoji1373][emoji1373].
Y'all keep rockin those food plans!

  8. @bacon and@s_suther you guys are doing great!! I am focused on medical stuff so I'm not even paying attention to my eating but I really haven't done too bad. I have a fun filled week planned and would so appreciate any and all prayers! Sunday: Clear Liquids and colonoscopy prep stuff 🤢 Monday: colonoscopy. Tuesday: pre op appointment with my oncologist. Wednesday: if the good Lords willing and the creek don't rise I'll have my hysterectomy. All of this will take place about 100 miles from home so we are taking our Rv up Sunday night and returning Thursday. A little more comfy than a hotel.

  9. P.s glad to see some activity on here! How is everyone else?? I've recently found out I have uterine cancer so I'm in the middle of tests and prepping for surgery. Lots of burning in my stomach so I'm thinking about having some Fluid removed. Anybody have surgery while having a band? Wondering if I need to have my fluid out. Asked my oncologist (still hard to type that word) and she said no. But I feel like I need to ask my band doc and see what he thinks

  10. @bacon I'm so sorry to hear what you've been going through I agree with outside I believe your doc failed you. He left you with no choice but to go to sliders! Try your basics. You might really have to measure and plan plan plan! As long as all is healthy with your band I would think about keeping it and maybe gradually adding Fluid to it. And find a NEW doctor. Best wishes and keep us posted!!!

  11. Good morning!! Just finished some meal prep for the week. Does anybody else do this? I had some veggies that were nearing the end of their life so I drug them all out of the fridge. Made a frittata with red bell pepper, spinach, onion and mozzarella cheese, and ham and eggs. I'll dish that up for my breakfasts. (Hope i will be able to eat it reheated). I've fallen in love with sheet pan meals. So my next concoction consisted of diced chicken, zucchini, sweet potato, Brussel sprouts and onion. A little olive oil and salt and pepper. I'll dish this up for lunches. How is your weekend? Have not exercised my extra day yet. Hopefully I can make that happen sometime today

  12. Hello all!!! Finally Friday and I'm thrilled... been a long week! I've been marking an x on the calendar whenever I exercise so I'm proud to say I've marked 3 so far this week! Feeling it in my muscles. They seem pretty fatigued. So I will add one more day of walking this weekend but no strenuous exer or weights. Exercise has always been a big struggle for me but I'm trying to fit 3-4 days a week in for the month of February. Friday's are my weigh in days and I've lost 2.2 pounds this week! But.......here comes the weekend...my tough time!!! One day at a time! That's all we can do!
