I'm 41 (will be 42 in a week); I was sleeved Wednesday, December 5th, so I'm four days post-op. Other than some pain on my right side (largest incisions), I'm doing ok although I am struggling to get in all my fluids.

I am 43 and was sleeved on the 28th. So far everything is going well and it has been a positive experience. The thing I miss most is being able to drink large amounts of Water, but I will keep sipping!

You guys are lucky, my 1st date was gonna be Monday but my Dr won't be in the office, they changed it til the 17th, but my new apt isn't ready yet so January 7th is my new date new apt or not I'm doing my surgery

My VSG date is 12/20 and I am 43!! My cousin had it done in November and she is 52.

I’m 44 and had the sleeve done in October. I’m so happy I did it!

I’m 43 and I’m doing mine on 12/18.

44 here. Recovery was not nearly as bad as I anticipated, but no walk in the park. I think it depends a lot on your surgeon and nurses. I was lucky to have a very experienced and skilled surgeon and the hospital helped me manage my pain well. The Constipation can get really BAD, the combo of high Protein, low Fiber and not being able to manage enough Fluid makes for a bad intestinal time. Colace seems to be a mild preventative but Milk of Magnesia is much more effective if it is in full swing. I'm bracing myself for the Hair loss and just praying it isn't too bad, especially since I am already thin. I've seen a lot of after pictures though, and no one seems to have horrific loss, so I am hoping that it won't look too awful.

47-sleeved July 10th. Worst right now is the Hair loss but I’m managing!

I turned 40 in February and was sleeved on October 29. Not complications so far other than the previously mentioned Constipation.

Any 40+ doing the sleeve besides me at 41?

41. Did my sleeve on 10/29. Doing well so far. Cleared to slowly incorporate any (healthy) foods I want.
