  1. That makes sense. I'm pretty much eating the same thing every day and don't have much variety in my diet. I'll start switching things up. Thanks!
  2. For my current stall, I've been stalled in the 270s for the last few weeks, almost a month (April/May). During this month, I've been averaging 800-1000 calories.
  3. No. For a while I couldn't break 800 calories until about 9-10 months. My injury occurred about 6 months out of surgery, curbing my exercise substantially and then depression hit and I lost myself for a good 3 months towards the end of 2019. I stopped tracking in my app but I would put myself at 1200-1400 calories during that time. Got it together in January when I was about a year out and by then I'd lost 110 lbs.
  4. Hi y'all, I've been stalled in the 270s for a few weeks now and I don't know what to do other than ride it out (which I'm doing, but not well). I'm about 16 months out from surgery and I'm averaging about 800-1000 calories per day and getting in 90-100+grams of protein in with 3 meals and 3 snacks. I've upped my water intake to at least 80 oz/day and I've also started exercising again after an injury and laziness sidelined me for a while. My fat and carbs are usually around 40 g/day but on a higher calorie day, it can get into the 60s for. Am I getting in too many calories and too much protein for where I'm at? Too many carbs/fat? I think I put myself in maintenance and I still have about 100 lbs left to lose before I hit goal. Any tips?
  5. Hi ladies, I have a fertility consult in July regarding TTC. I'm about 270 now and pretty much anticipate the doctor telling me that I'll need to lose more weight. I've lost about 150 lbs since my RNY in January 2019 but I've stalled for a while and not sure that I'll make my goal of 250 by my consultation appointment. Have any of you gotten pregnant/had any issues getting pregnant weighing 200+ lbs? I'd very much prefer to be at goal (170 lbs) when I actually start TTC but my eggs aren't getting any younger either.
  6. Hello, all! I haven't posted in a while but I'm back (for now, hahaha). I had RNY in January 2019 and I'm sitting around 274. I've lost about 145 pounds since the surgery but I've been in a weird headspace about it since I'm not yet at goal. I think I put myself in maintenance and have gone back to basics in terms of lowering my caloric intake, watching my macros, and making sure I get at least 64 oz of fluid in. Hopefully I hit goal by the time my 2 year surgiversary rolls around, but until then, I'm celebrating all of the small victories. The best ones to date? I had a doctor's appointment today and the arm cuff fit around my upper arm! And my blood pressure was great, well within normal ranges! I was able to fit in the chair that you sit in to give blood. Being able to let that arm down and have ample space to get situated felt unreal. I told my doctor that I wanted to start TTC next year and he told me that he didn't see any issue with me trying. I could've cried when he told me that. All I've ever wanted was to be a mom and that was my reason for getting surgery; to be healthy enough to become a mother and be able to raise my kids into adulthood. I'm also getting rid of clothes that I'd been saving because I couldn't fit them before surgery and they're now too big. All of that to say, don't let the number on the scale discourage you! It may not be moving the way you want it to, but you are so much more than the number on the scale and the changes you're making will impact your life in ways the scale won't/can't reflect.
  7. Thank you! I'm stalling here and there but I'm still losing. I think I put myself in maintenance for a while so I'm going back to basics with my diet to get back on track. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. Hey ladies, I hope you're all doing well! I'm sitting at 290 almost 13 months out. I haven't been under 300 lbs in so long and my lowest recorded weight of 289 was in 2009/2010. I've been in a stall for a little while but hopefully it's broken for the moment. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  9. Checking in... I'm finally under 300 lbs. Depression hit and I lost myself from Sep-Dec and ate and drank whatever and how much my pouch allowed. I stalled hard but the scale finally moved once I got it together. My 1 yr post-op appointment is today and while I wanted to be around 275 or less, I'll take this 296.8 and be proud of how far I've come since I saw the scale hit 420. 10. Checking in since it's been a while. I'm 110 lbs down from my highest weight and 102 lbs down from surgery. I'm almost out of the 300s and I can't believe it. I've been out of commission since I sprained my ankle in July but I'm feeling like I can finally get back in the gym so I can lose the next 100+ lbs. Having my RNY almost 9 months ago truly changed my life. It's so hard and I've had several rough months, but I'm determined to get to Onederland and stay there. 11. I'm currently in the 350s and hope to be out of them soon. I haven't been in the 350s in almost 4 years. This is wild lol. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

Questions for all of you that are post-op!!!

    1. I used a pill cutter as some were huge. The pills themselves weren't difficult but drinking water with them was rough in the beginning. The vitamins I take now are all chewable which is a plus. 2. EGD and bloodwork after approval. I had 4 nutritionist appointments and 1 psych eval prior to. 3. Listening to your stomach, consistently eating 5-6 small meals a day, getting your protein in, getting your fluid in, paying close attention to food you don't prepare yourself, taking ALL of your vitamins daily. It's an adjustment, for sure, but so worth it, IMO. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Jan 2019 bypass buddies

Hello everyone, I had my RNY on 1/23/2019 and am down about 48 lbs. Most days I'm doing pretty well, but then I'll have days where I just want a real taco or a glass of wine and I'll start feeling down. Luckily, those days are few. Except wanting a taco. I want a taco daily lol. Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
  15. My highest weight was 420/421 and my surgery weight was 412. I'm now around 364 after hitting a stall at 375 that had me freaking out a bit. Just seeing 364 on a scale is mindblowing after not being in the 300s for so long. My 3 month post-op visit with my surgeon is this Thursday I'm hoping to have lost 50 lbs by that appointment though my official 3 month post-op date is on the 23rd. NSVs include wearing shoes that I couldn't years ago, moving into 3X clothing, and feeling (but not yet seeing) my collarbone. This whole process is still surreal. I hated being in the 300s but I'm so happy to be here now and will continue to work until I'm in the 200s. Who knows, I may even hit onederland! Congratulations, ladies, for continuing to smash your goals and don't forget to reap those Non-Scale Victories! Sent from my SM-G955U using BariatricPal mobile app
