HELP!!! What's Tea with this coping mechanism bs

It sounds like you've really found some things that you enjoy. I'm still in the exploration phase I guess and it feels almost like a buzzer is about to go off and I'm caught without finishing my quiz Seriously though, I have not been participating enough in LIFE these past couple of years and reflecting on that is both sad and exciting. And, you are absolutely right about that therapy!

Thank you, James! I did take a before photo of myself and I'm hoping it comes in handy because at this point, I can hardly stand to look at the damn thing!

    Emotions Post Op?

I'm following this! I'm feeling very emotional all of a sudden, 2 weeks pre-op for gastric bypass. I've been planning away but it's getting real now!

I was recently switched by my surgeon to gastric bypass because she found Barrett's syndrome on my endoscopy. It freaked me out!!! I have not had any significant symptoms - some occassional heartburn but I just attributed it to my crappy diet. Anyway, after peeling myself off the ceiling - I did what I always do and read everything I could get my hands on about it. And, now I feel better. The bypass is a great treatment for it - turns out my highly educated and experienced surgeon was right I'm having surgery on Aug. 15th.

I hope you wake up refreshed and ready! My surgery isn't until the 15th and I already can't sleep. Good luck tomorrow

    August bypassers/sleevers

Hey everybody. I'm brand new to this site - getting excited for my surgery scheduled for Aug. 15. I originally planned to have the sleeve but my surgeon switched me to the bypass after my endoscopy due to Barrett's Esophagus. I'm nervous about the change but excited for results. I've just been browsing on the before and after pics thread - I highly recommend for inspiration when you're feeling anxious!!!
