    Pounds lost

7 Months out and 110 lbs lost - my doctor said I am a "High Outlier" though. One year's weight lost in 6 months.

    Extremely rude nurse

Definitely report her - there should be a nurse manager that you can speak to, if you don't get a response I would then go to the hospital admin.
  3. I am almost 7 months post op and have lost 110 pounds - which is A LOT in a short time. I had a lot to lose and my goal is about 40 more pounds at most or 20 more at least. BUT Ive been stalled for about 8 weeks and getting antsy that because I lost so much so fast that now I've hit the end of my active loss. I don't know if I can lose 40 pounds on my own. Guess I'm looking for encouragement or at least your different experiences.

    Laying down

Be on the lookout for blood clots if you are spending that much time in a recliner. Try to get in your bed as soon as possible - I agree with the wedge pillow suggestion, I couldn't have done it without mine.

    Just some random mind dumps

    1. I WEIGH LESS THAN MY HUSBAND!!!!!!! 2. I have decided to claim I have "finally lost the baby weight" if anyone asks. My daughter is 23 3. That is all - just wanted to share my joy today.
  7. I completely agree - I don't see why this would be a no-go for surgery. Especially if you planned to get help with it somewhere along the line. Everyone uses food as a comfort, I told my docs that I planned on going to therapy to deal with my food/emotions connections. I actually have found that while I enjoy therapy, it hasn't made the difference when it came to emotional eating - what made the difference was the surgery itself.
  8. I’m 4 months out and food is good but I just don’t care too much. I make an effort to try plenty of things but rarely have cravings. I could just eat protein bars and be perfectly happy. Do crazy strong cravings come back to haunt at some point?
  9. Crushing self doubt!!!! LOL NO, I really can't complain at all, I'm just being insecure. I REALLY want to kiss ONEderland and I'm afraid I'll never get there... 😬
  10. So I think I should stop complaining! I'm just worried this is all a dream and I'll wake up one day and it will all go away!
  11. OOOOh is there one for bypass? is it different I wonder?
  12. I am about 4 months out - up until about a week before Christmas I was losing a pound a day - awesome right? Well then I had a stall, and now I have lost about 10 pounds in three weeks, which, believe me I am very happy about. I've lost about 92 lbs (including 25 pre surgery pounds). Should I just relax and expect this slow down or can it pick up again? Thanks!
  13. Do you have a link to the study? Sounds interesting.

    Bad posture

I’ve lost about 80lbs and suddenly I’m walking hunched over - practically folded in half! Should I add sit ups or something?
