Post op pain - be honest

Our experiences are all so different. Most important is to keep moving to relieve the gas and take a stool softener if you’re taking pain pills to prevent constipation. I’m four months out and still get incision pains. -

Hey. I’m four months out and I can tell you that I can relate to the crying and buyers remorse and all of the things you are feeling. Be gentle and kind with yourself. It will get better! How long after surgery before you returned to work?

I’m an RN working from home on my computer. Took two weeks off post op. The exhaustion post op was the hardest part for me even after the two weeks. Still need a nap once a day and I was sleeved July 10th. -

Walking and moving is key at this point to alleviate the gas pains. Yes-use the incentive spirometer. -
8-days Post-Op. Craving textures and spices. Afraid this is a sign of future failure.

Hang in there. Those commercials always get me too. It gets so much easier as time goes by. You will be able to eat more things as you heal...stay the course and be strong! -
