Walk, walk and walk to help with gas. I don’t k ow how mobile you are but walk as much as you can. They had me walking that afternoon, the next day I must have walked for over an hour at one point, I made it a game. Every time I passed my room I’d take a sip of Water. Made it easier.
i can’t say it enough walk. When you get home. Do the same. Get up every 10 minutes and talk a walk around the house, keep doing that and I promise you won’t have gas. It worked for me,

    It’s the ingredients.
i had issues with the chewable vitamins, made me nauseous because it gets the the stomach so quickly in its real form opposed to a dissolve that dissolves in stomach and intestine
its seems the shake is hitting your stomach too quick.
ive been told that the multi Vitamin is harsh on the stomach and you need to have food in your stomach, that’s why I went off chewable after 6 weeks.
    good luck

    Just know this
    Life-saving life-changing
Youll never be the Sane as u were before
ur goal when eating js to provide ur body with nutrition to sustain ur life. It will never be about fun anymore when I eat. If u choose cake over a meal, u will not be taking care of ur body.
just remember this...if they tell u it’s time to get up and walk, get up and walk, walk, walk, walk, walk , walk. Drinking in the beginning will be a chore. Take a sip every 10 minutes. With me, I the second day, the day I went home. I walked around the ward, and every time I got to my room, I’d sip Water then go back around again, I did that for like 45 minutes.
When u get home. Get up every 15 and take stroll around the house, when u do, take a sip of water.
be very methodical and you’ll be fine
    plan
    good,luck

That was HARD. Just make it a job. Keep the Water next to you. And take a sip every 10 minutes or whatever you can tolerate. Just know that eating and drinking will be a chore for the next several months.

No one told u that u have to walk a lot to feel better. I walked a lot the first day. The next day I must have walked over 3 hours on and off. Went home, felt perfect. Gotta walk after any surgery to get better

U need to take them religiously. I went off chewable 6 weeks after cause I had such nausea issues, much to the fight from the dietician. Anyway u can’t take multi and Calcium at the same time...absorption. So I have a ritual..breakfast, then multi, lunch, calcium, dinner, multi, bed, calcium. U need food in stomach for multi or it makes it upset. I also take the b1 since I take normal multi and B12. I took Iron for while, but not anymore. I get blood work every 6 months to check the liver, pancreas, etc.

thats good you work form home, you’ll be fine then, just keep sipping in between calls. Just be careful not to sip too much and talk, you’ll get air in your belly.
    Youll be fine.

    Comgrats...
i had mind June 1. Went to work June 25.
I had bad nausea issues port op.
stock up.. well you should have a diet sheet with each stage and what you can eat. I wouldn’t go further then each stage, stages progress based on each person. I went slow, and actually backwards. Like I said Nausea. I had issues probably week 2 onto 3. My stomach couldn’t handle being empty of sorts.
I didn’t eat or drink for like 4 days, had to go to Er for fluids. Got better.
food isnt gonna be the same as before. I suggest to go as each stage goes. Don’t rush it, an issue I have which is better is seeing too much food overwhelms me and upsets me. So buying food is different now,
just go with what your body is telling you.
Fluids are really important even more than food in the beginning.
my nausea is better. If I want to sleep late, I can’t, at least I get up and eat something bad go back to bed. I just had back surgery and was incredibly nauseas cause I didn’t eat. I got over it and forced myself to eat.
Vitamins, etc. very important. If you don’t it could compromise your health.
As for work. You know you can’t lift anything heavy for 6 weeks. Hope your job isn’t lifting.
Good luck going back to work during early stages. I hope the job is flexible cause dinking your fluids isn’t a lunch break job. It’s an ALL day everyday event in the beginning.
If you have any other questions, just ask
remember every persons surgery is different

Totally get you. I’m certainly not at eating like I was. A lot of things I used to eat make me nauseous. Sweets are too much for me. But yes, if you eat a little, you can eat a little later. I try not yo eat meals every few hours. I’ll have Breakfast then a cheese stick or apple. Then lunch, then snack, then dinner then snack. So I eat 6 times a day. But those Snacks are cheese, apple, nuts or Peanut Butter.
    try that.

What do u mean by pain?? Describe. I know I feel sick if I go straight to Protein in morning. I need the shake and some sort of carb..like a few saltines. Here’s the thing......we aren’t normal anymore. We go to bed and wake up with 0 in stomach, nothing digesting. So when we go to eat, putting anything in can be uncomfortable....that’s when I was told to eat crackers ..it’s a solid, and soaks up gastric juices.
Now this is just me and some people I’ve talked to. Discovered eveyone is different, but hearing other stories can help realize what tweaks u need to make.
For me protein digesting is hard on belly. Remember it’s harder for your stomach to digest protein. It has to work harder. Solids not the Protein Shake.

    hope that helps u

Don’t. U just love that u can eat something and want to vomit.
salad is rough. I would tackle introducing the items separate first. Then after while u may get used to. That’s why I did. Introduce a small whatever and let ur body get used to it first. I did that with a lot of foods, reintroducing.

Try different brands. I had the same issue. I can’t handle fake sugar. I found this brand called INTEGRATED
they have chocolate, vanilla and strawberry
I did two scoops with 2 tablespoon of PB powder
it has not fake sugar after taste

    I would be cautious.
i believe everyone does a pr op, depending how much you wiegh
part of it is to reduce liver, the other part is to mentally prepare you to drinking food post op.
    how much do you weigh?
    be careful

Oh honey, your period. Horrible. I had to go off pill before, still off. Period is hay wire. My gyn said it would, the surgery is playing with your hormones too.
Calories, alls I was told was I need to get Protein. I’m lucky if I eat enough. The nutritionist would yell at me. I’m probably at about 600 calories a day. But if I don’t eat enough, I get naseaus.
Weird that we never realized that when we ate, we had food in our belly’s probably till the next time we ate. We never really had an EMPTY STOMACH
