Congrats to July sleepers and all of our accomplishments.
My max weight 272. SW 259. CW 187. surgery July 18th.
I am completely blessed since surgery and haven't had much problems. No adverse events other than my intestines did not like Liquid Protein, and had to stop it until month 3. Now I can tolerate them Not tolerating them was a major bummer since that is what we have been doing and on the liquid diet. I exercise 3-4 times a week. I want to do more. My energy isn't what I thought it would be, but to be expected with all the changes.
My registered dietician has been phenomenal. I also live Premier Protein. I use half a container with 8 ounces of skim milk once or twice daily. Twice daily if exercising.
Thank you for sharing your coffee recipe.
    My biggest temptation: chocolate.
I have been doing the sugar free instant puddings with heavy whipping cream. So good. I added chopped macadamia nuts to it last night... heaven.
pumpkin Keto recipe: can of pure pumpkin, cream cheese softened, 5 packs of truevia, 1 cup of heavy whipping cream, pumpkin pie spices, cinnamon, nutmeg, etc. It was pretty good. Let it set for a day so all the seasoning can work it's magic.
    What is everyone else doing.

Gees, you just don't stop! So tell me about your recipe for this Protein coffee. I'm always on the lookout for new tips and ideas. Am enjoying the treadmill, increasing the time on it each day. I am feeling better, more energetic each day.

Another high achiever! Kudos to you, too. In the same timeframe I'm down 75 lbs to your 126, so I hope you are celebrating your achievement with impunity! The holidays WERE wicked, and the winter weather does not cooperate with our intentions. I just got a treadmill, and am revising my daily routine to incorporate its use to my advantage. I've been trying to adapt some recipes to make Protein Cookies and protein granola for treats. It's all trial and error and ADVENTURE. Not a moment's regret for getting this surgery.

Great progress at my 5 month check-up at surgeons office yesterday!!! My surgery date was July 12th and I have officially lost 122 from HW and 100 pounds from SD!!! I started my journey at 390 and now at 268. All Vitamins came in good and ferritin level was too high at 203. The doc said only take Iron every other day to stabilize the level of iron. I am feeling good and have lost more weight than I expected. I am now 88 pounds away from goal and wonder if I will be able to achieve it with all the progress I have made so far. My size dropped from a 26/28 pant to a size 16/18 pants and can shop regular sizes. I have been having so much fun during this holiday season and feel great! Looking forward to traveling in the spring and not requiring a seat belt extender on the plane any more. So many non-scale victories to celebrate! I never thought I would be this far so soon! Congrats to all of you on your progress!

Checking in. I was sleeved 8/16. I've been doing great. Had a slow loss in Dec (my own fault). I've already lost more in January than in December and only half way through the month! I'm down 69.2 from HW and 50.5 from SW. I've lost 44 inches too. Gone from a size 24 pants to a 16 or 18, a size 3X or 22/24 top to XL or 14/16, and a 44C bra to a 38/40 C/D. I've also been doing Zumba, which I love. I want to try kickboxing too. I'm super happy with my progress. I attached my most recent progress pic.

    My heaviest weight was 370.
In 2010 I had the band installed (such a mistake, waste of time, money and effort IMO)
    March 10th, 2018 at my Pre-Surgical check in I was 310.
March 21st, 2018 at check in for surgery I was 294.4. I had the band removed and revised to the bypass.
Today, January 23rd, 2019. 308 days after surgery... I hit a number that I haven't seen in more than 20 years Onederland.
I'm down 95 lbs since surgery, 110.6 lbs from pre-surgical. And a staggering 170.6 lbs from my heaviest weight.

I need to thank so many people that if I tried, I'd forget someone and then we'd start with the hard feelings.
    So I'll go with this.
    Thank you.
If you've helped me through this in any way, shape, or form, Thank you.

The top two pics are after losing just over 175 pounds.
    High weight: 389
    Surgery Weight: 369
    Current weight: 208......soooooo closeeeeee!
    Bmi 55-29!
I have gone from a size 28 and 4xl to a size 14 and a large in tops. Almost a 12. I cannot believe it.
I love coming and seeing what we have accomplished. It can be so overwhelming to think of how far we have to go in our journeys but the time is going to pass by. If an effort is made, your effort WILL show.
I did not exercise every day. I did not drink five gallons of Water a day. I did not remain strict every single day. But I did my best, and I did better this year than ever before. We don’t have to be perfect to see changes.
I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season!

That’s fantastic!!!! Congratulations on your loss! I haven’t lost nearly as much as you - but I’m flying in March and although I will bring my seatbelt extender (just in case) I’m hoping I don’t need it!! And I’ve definitely had non scale victories too. The seats in the movie theater seem to have magically gotten wider! Lol

Just got back from KY on Saturday and next week I’m off to CA for a few days. I’ve got this killer dress for a party in CA that arrives tomorrow, fingers crossed that it fits!

Just turned 4 months this month. I had surgery on 7/12 and have lost 110 pounds from highest weight and 88 pounds from day of surgery. Started 390 hw, 368 sw, and 280 cw. I’ve had great progress but it has slowed down and have been experiencing more stalls. Some days are good and some days are bad on the vomiting side or same food may not agree my new stomach either. I still struggle with getting enough Protein and supplement with a shake in the morning cut down with almond milk because it’s too sweet and can’t stand it. My Water intake is improving but not meeting goals. Been buying some clothes as I have gone from size 28 pants to a size 18. I didn’t gain my weight overnight and trying to be positive ahead to meet small and big goals. Looking forward to a brighter future!

JulesUp reacted to KimTriesRNY in How long did it take to hit your goal and when did your loss slow down?
I have yet to hit goal but my loss has slowed down tremendously. My body is very happy with these extra 25 pounds and it’s a fight to get each one off now.
I would say my first 100 pounds came off very easily, and then the weight loss slowed to a normal rate.
Naturally there will be a difference between someone that has 100 pounds to lose and 200 pounds to lose.
I want to lose another 25 at least, but it could take six months or more.

Following up with this! My highest weight was 380, my weight when I started the program was 340, weight day of surgery was 302, and now I’m 3.5 months post RNY and weigh 244.

They expect I’ll make it to onderland by 6 months post-op... so I’ve got a bit of work to do!

I do work out. I do spin, boot camp, and boxing. I try to make it to at least 3 classes a week of one of those. It has really helped speed up the weight loss.

JulesUp reacted to Missouri-Lee's Summit in For those who had temporary "buyers remorse"
I think it's only natural to experience such feelings. We've made a drastic, often irreversible, alternation to our bodies. We're not feeling physically like ourselves. There may be pain or discomfort, vomiting, Constipation, hunger, lack of hunger... and the list goes on. Probably even more involved are the emotional or psychological changes going on inside of us post-surgery. We know things will never really be the same. This can be both thrilling and terrifying. What if we are one of those weird weight-loss surgery outliers who doesn't lose weight for whatever reason?! We almost convince ourselves that after our first stall we are indeed one of those rare few!
We've invested time, money, starved ourselves in preparation for surgery, had labwork, had to convince a nutritionist that we are committed to the nutritional challenges required, had to convince a psychologist that we aren't nuts, and go through 6 months or more of supervised weight loss by our primary doctor. We also read about all the pros and cons of WLS until our eyes practically bled from fatigue and overuse. Arghh!
As for advice, it's pretty much the same advice for most wholesale changes we face. Time. Time heals, but time also moves so s l o w l y.
Posting this topic and asking questions and for advice was a smart move. Just bringing the subject to the front of your consciousness validates it's importance to you. Some may dismiss "buyer's remorse" as an inconsequential little thing. I'd disagree. It's something we've all had to deal with to a varying degree, whether we're able to admit to ourselves or not.
My advice is to keep thinking about upcoming goals... how you'll look in smaller clothing, how you'll feel when you finally weigh less than 200lbs, how it feels to eat half or a fourth of something and feel full. Hey, just creating a list of things to look forward to may help to counter that feeling of buyer's remorse. And, of course, leaving long, rambling comments like this one may help, too. Who knows?!
