I tried Chia pudding with almond milk and it turned out like a big lump with liquid floating on the top. I used a recipe that had a little a lot of positive reviews. I know how to measure and follow instructions, I can’t figure out what went wrong.

This keeps happening to me as well. I wind up having to freeze it in the end which tastes pretty good but I just can’t get the consistency right 😒

I hear you 20 to go and I'm getting comfortable where I'm at. Also not loosing, only around 2 pounds in a month.

Glad it’s not just me! I guess we will just stick it out and hope for more losses!

I'm also stuck at losing around 2lbs per month, with about 20lbs left to go until my personal goal. I started working out regularly (joined my gym at work and have a plan for fitness classes throughout the week, plus yoga on Mondays) and I'm trying to count calories, but it's become so difficult! I calculated my total daily energy expenditure, and now it's only around 1800/day. I do really well in the morning most days, but by afternoon and evening I get ravenous and have a hard time resisting the high-calorie slider foods. I'm managing to eat at maintenance, but I can't seem to keep a deficit, so I'm not really losing. I'm hoping adding regular exercise will help.

Maybe try intermittent fasting. It worked for me initially, but then my weight just plateaued for a month after so I’m not really as strict with it anymore. I did like how I felt when I was doing it though and I always go to the gym in a fasted state.

You have lost a lot of weight, congratulations!

We had surgery a month apart and I’m in the home stretch. I looked up 20 pounds ago and that was February 12th, so about 3.5 months or so. After a lackluster March I joined a gym with a personal trainer, bought a Fitbit, tightened up my diet and started participating on this website. I personally think working out and staying active is the key and will remain the key forever.

Hey Cheeseburgh! I’ve been working out pretty hard since I was cleared after surgery but recently started running in hopes I can get some more weighloss. I will definitely join you over in the support thread, thank you!

Well sounds like your Honeymoon is over and you have settled into the Weight Loss marriage state. And I was hoping you would have good news for ME this morning, about to kick into my,last 25 pounds to Goal and now I am fearful I won't make it either? I have had a second Honeymoon with the weird way my pathway laid out, but I am more than overdue to slow down 9 months out. To quote Eeyore from Winnie the Poo " OH ME, OH MY!"
You will get there frustr8 just keep at it!

  6. Right now I still get full off of 2.5oz of chicken or beef (always grilled no fat or sauce added) so if I eat veggies it’s usually between meals. An example of a “snack” would be 4 raw broccoli bite size pieces dipped I 1 T of hummus OR 1/2 a large pickle. I’ve done so well since I had my sleeve and it’s so scary bc really this is my first “stall” I’ve had. It’s like my body doesn’t want to get into the 160s at all despite eating the same foods I’ve always eaten 😒

  7. So you think the bars and shakes are causing the stall? I def don’t want to waste this precious time either I will take all advice and try it to see if it break this stall! I’m desperate 😜first meal today was eggs and turkey bacon and lunch and dinner will be Protein as well. I’ll check back in a week and keep ya posted. Thanks again for your advice! I know I could be drinking more Water as well I’m also going to work harder at this.

  8. Thank you fluffy for responding so quick! I consider you an expert with this so I really appreciate it. I’m a newbie and I know probably annoying some of you! I do a bar or a shake not both in one day and I really just enjoy both that’s the main reason. I could definitely switch that first meal to some eggs and turkey bacon if you think that would help. I always hit above that 60 mark for Protein but I’m not gonna lie I do like my protein supplements 🤷🏻‍♀️

  9. I’m doing IF pretty much everyday I didn’t know about feast days 😬 i have Premier Protein shake or Protein Bar everyday to break the fast, and then its Protein only the other 2 meals, chicken or beef 2.5 oz never more. I will have a little fruit or veggies or nuts between a meal when I’m hungry. Calories range from 550-700 depending on the day. Water can always be better but that’s always been a struggle for me.

  10. Hello!! I was just going to post about this! This will be my first time fasting as I am 9mo post op and I really don’t know how it’s going to work. I have a ton of restriction still and consume 2.5oz per meal which means I barely get in any fruits or veggies still 😬. I’m currently doing intermittent fasting 16:8 and feel great but I think Protein goals and hydration will be a HUGe issue. I hope more people respond to this I’ve done some google searches and most sites said it would be almost impossible until 2 years out

Congrats! What are you doing on your plan? (Pssst you should go into your profile and signature and fill out the information on yourself so we know what you are doing--surgery and date, etc. :) )

Hey Fluffy! So I basically break my fast everyday with a Premier Protein. A couple hours later I have 2.5oz of chicken and then deli meat and a cheese stick around 8:30. In between those meals I TRY to squeeze in some raw veggies or a couple bites of fresh fruit but it doesn’t always happen. As you can see my restriction is still pretty amazing. Eating times are 1pm-9pm. In the last month or so My weight loss had slowed down drastically I think partly bc I’m 9mo out now and partly bc I had been grazing. Nothing crazy but maybe an extra 150-200calories. Can I update ticker from the app?

  12. Hello everyone! I’m trying out intermittent fasting to get past no/slow weight loss I’ve come into now that I’m close to 9mo post op and weigh much less. Sooooo I hope you don’t mind it if I join you guys here and ask questions! While fasting what do you use to sweeten coffee and tea? Also, how bad is a splash of fair life milk in the coffee? I want to get all the benefits of fasting that I’ve read about so if need be I will just stick to Water if those things will indeed get in the way.
